🐾 𝟮,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲. €𝟭 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵. 𝗔𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲! 🐾

MoonAcre is 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 at the moment.

After a difficult run of vet bills, emergency treatment and ongoing medication, the funds are being stretched to their absolute limit. We are now struggling to cover some of the most basic necessities - food and medication for the animals in their care.

And this is where we need our MoonAcre community.

💔 𝗔 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗙𝗲𝘄 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗻𝗔𝗰𝗿𝗲 💔

The last few days have been incredibly difficult for our MoonAcre family.

Poor 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 suddenly developed severe breathing difficulties and was rushed to the vets as an emergency. She was diagnosed with canine laryngeal paralysis and needed emergency surgery to help her breathe.

We’re so relieved to say that 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 is now home and resting.
She has a long road of recovery ahead, but she is safe and back where she belongs.

Then, the very next day, our beautiful 𝗦𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘂𝘀 was diagnosed with a bone infection in his remaining front leg. 𝗦𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘂𝘀 sadly lost his other front leg following a vehicle impact, so this infection is particularly concerning. He is now on antibiotics and strict rest while we do everything we can to help him recover.

Two emergencies, one after another, and our vet bills are understandably mounting.

🌈 𝗕𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥 🌈

We are so very sorry to share the heartbreaking news that our lovely 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 went to sleep forever today.

𝗕𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 sadly lost his battle with leishmaniasis. He was a much-loved member of the MoonAcre family, and we are so grateful we were able to give him love, safety and a home. 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 was such a special boy, and saying goodbye to him is incredibly difficult. He will be deeply missed here at MoonAcre.

We would like to give 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 the peaceful and dignified farewell he deserves, and we are asking our wonderful supporters if they would like to help towards the cost of his cremation.

There is absolutely no pressure to donate. If you are able to contribute even a small amount, it would mean so much to us and would allow us to bring 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 home one final time.

🐾 𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗬 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗗𝗢𝗚 𝗗𝗔𝗬! 🐾

Today is all about celebrating the wonderful, loyal, funny, chaotic and completely loveable creatures who make our lives better simply by being in them.

At MoonAcre, we believe 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱, 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲.

Every single dog who comes through our doors has a story. Some have been abandoned, neglected, mistreated or simply forgotten. But their past doesn’t have to define their future.

Today, we celebrate 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗻𝗔𝗰𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗴 — 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀.

🐾 Meet: 𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗬𝗔 🐾

Sweet, cheeky, curious and bursting with playful kitten energy, little 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘆𝗮 is looking for her forever home!

𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘆𝗮 was sadly abandoned outside the home of one of our amazing volunteers. She was found in need of help and was hospitalised so she could receive the care she desperately needed.

Thankfully, she is now back to full health, happy, playful and thriving in foster care with MoonAcre. She’s house trained, full of personality and more than ready to start her next chapter with a loving family.

𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘆𝗮 is curious, playful and always ready for a little adventure and those irresistible kitten eyes are guaranteed to steal your heart!

She will begin her vaccinations as soon as she is old enough, setting her up for a happy, healthy future.

💙 𝗔 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗼𝗯 💙

We were so touched to hear from Karin Stanier, who adopted our lovely 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗵 many years ago and renamed him 𝗕𝗼𝗯.

𝗕𝗼𝗯 sadly passed away in July this year, after around 10 wonderful years with Karen and his family. We’re heartbroken to hear that he is no longer with them, but so grateful that he got to spend those years surrounded by love and a family of his own.

Karen has very kindly donated 𝗕𝗼𝗯’s dog coats to MoonAcre, so that other rescue dogs can now benefit from something that belonged to a 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵-𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗻𝗔𝗰𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘆. 🐾
