Training cooperative care can help to make necessary procedures into a stress-free experience. This includes routine care like clipping nails, using an electric nail file, or brushing teeth. It can also be useful for giving medication like eye drops, ear drops, or flea preventative.If you would like help teaching your dog any of these skills, please reach out to me.During training, the dog is never restrained or otherwise forced to participate if they are scared. I always show them the item first, so that they can know what is about to happen and will never be startled or feel tricked. The goal is to build trust and confidence.

Are your dogs feeling bored, but it’s too hot to take them for a walk? Here are 3 enrichment options, using empty cups to keep your dogs entertained:
1. Place an upside-down cup over a piece of food. (Always a classic 😂)
2. Stack multiple cups with food inside each other, and let the dog figure out how to separate them to reach the food.
3. Put food in the cup, and then put a toy item on top of it, so your dog has to get the toy out of the way in order to access the treat.
