We have some great news – Bruno has been adopted!
When we checked in with Bruno’s mom, she was excited to share what life looks like for her sweet boy in his forever home. And honestly, she said it so beautifully that we had to share:
“It’s incredibly hard to believe that only one and a half short weeks have passed since Bruno’s Gotcha Day! ❤️ This precious boy first arrived at his forever home a little shy, a little curious, and still carrying some tears from saying goodbye to his wonderful mom and foster sister.
But WOW, what a transformation already! Bruno is learning new things every day, becoming more social, showing off just how affectionate he is, and proving that he is one smart little cookie.🍪 No door left slightly ajar or staircase standing in his way when he has his eyes on the prize!
Bruno initially found the scary staircase to the top floor a little intimidating. Unfortunately for him, that’s also where Forever Mom sleeps! By Day 3, he had decided the stairs were safe enough to conquer. And not only that, but he also taught himself to use the little safety steps to get onto the bed by Day 5.
Princess (sister) Xena may have the more warrior-like attitude, but Prince Bruno has certainly brought his own brand of brains and sass to the household, particularly when it comes to stealing toys and sneaking food. Apparently, sharing is caring…but stealing is WAY more fun! Xena is slowly learning to negotiate with her new brother, and Bruno is happily testing the boundaries of his royal privileges.
But it’s not all mischief! Bruno is also learning the fine art of walkies, with Xena patiently showing him the ropes…and he’s more than happy to let his big sister take the lead. Sometimes, even a simple potty break requires Xena to go first, especially when it’s dark or rainy outside. A prince must have his royal es**rt, naturally! 👑
All in all, Bruno is settling in beautifully, learning that he is safe and loved, and bringing so much joy, laughter, and a healthy dose of chaos into our home. I’m so grateful to everyone at the BTRC rescue who helped this sweet boy find his way to us. 💖
I can’t imagine our little family without him already. I’m excited to see what he learns next…although we’re slightly concerned about what Xena might teach him in the meantime! 😂”
