Well, safe to say … when this big boy walked into the shop, I had serious concerns about what I’d gotten myself into! Captain is a Tri-Color Newfoundland, a farm dog and he was in need of a good clean-up. But he wouldn’t get into the tub, so “Plan B” was to bathe him outdoors on the side step … blow dried him outdoors too, and with the right kind of bathing technique, the blow dryer does a lot of work for you, bringing up that dead under coat and allowing you to pull out loose hair by the handful’s. Then it was back inside to finish up. He wouldn’t get on the table either so he was done entirely on the floor 😩. A full afternoon job, and half a garbage bag of loose hair later … he looks good and I’m sure he feels amazing ! More photos in the comments.
