We opened our doors here on Third Avenue on June 6, 2016, which means Hard Rock Animal Hospital just celebrated our TENTH birthday.

A deep and sincere thank you to our clients and our community, and to every single beloved patient, that has come through our doors, that have helped and been helped, and made the last 10 years fly by.

Yes, there's been ups and downs, but overall, we as a team are happy and grateful, and excitedly looking to the next 10!

Are you looking for a rewarding position that allows you to contribute to the well-being of people and pets while working as part of a supportive and friendly team? Do you like variety, excel at multi-tasking, and possess the ability to stay positive under pressure? We are currently seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician!

Successful completion of veterinary technician course is required for an application to be considered.

Technician duties will include: assisting veterinarians in the exam rooms during appointments, preparing for and monitoring during surgery, performing lab duties such as blood work, urinalysis, and f***l testing, taking x-rays and assisting with ultrasound, dental care, etc. Applicants will be expected to educate clients on nutrition and preventative care, and a variety of topics.

Veterinary Technician Skills and Qualifications:
Vet technicians need a variety of soft skills and technical knowledge to excel at the job. Some of the most important skills include:

Expert animal handling skills
Excellent communication skills, spoken and written
A strong sense of team work
Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks depending on needs
Good organizational skills
Technical knowledge in areas such as using diagnostic equipment, dental equipment, etc.
Computer skills to maintain medical records in veterinary software

Compensation: $23.00-$25.00/hr
