Prada (MM DOCS SOLID GOLD) has officially taken “come when called” a little too seriously.

I walked her about 30 feet away from the mounting block, told her whoa, walked away, climbed up on the block and gave her a whistle.
Prada: Oh, you called? Let me just park myself right here. 💅

She walked over and lined herself perfectly up in her auto-park position. Then I gave her some pets for being such a good girl… which apparently Prada interpreted as, “Excellent work, please park even MORE.” 😂

Ma’am. I am already able to get on. You do not need to climb into my lap.

She is seriously the sweetest, most willing girl. Two years off having babies, currently pregnant, and she still remembers all her little tricks like she never had a day off.

MM Docs Solid Gold, aka Prada, part horse, part golden retriever, part valet parking service. 😂❤️

Another Moose Mountain Ranch Quarter Horses horse who deserves her own spotlight: MM Docs Solid Gold, aka Prada.

Prada has been my go-to liberty demonstration horse for years. She has performed as the introduction act for the RCMP Musical Ride, hauled all across Ontario with me teaching clinics and lessons, and has been the horse I can count on time and time again.

Then she took the last two years off to have foals, and she is currently pregnant again.

This was our very first session back after those two years off, and I could still send her out at liberty to run her barrel pattern like she never missed a beat.

No bridle. No lead. No riding. Just communication, trust, and a horse who remembers her job.

There is something pretty special about a horse that can step away for two years, raise babies, come back in foal, and pick right back up where she left off.

Another testament to the minds, trainability, and versatility behind the horses raised by Moose Mountain Ranch. Prada is one of those horses that has proven herself over and over again, and I’m incredibly lucky to have her. ❤️

She ties, bathes, clips, is good for the vet and farrier, and has been introduced to a variety of obstacle work. She is willing, sensible and eager to learn.

A huge shout-out to Moose Mountain Ranch Quarter Horses for raising and producing such incredible horses!

This is MM Stylish Sugar Doc, aka Paddy, sired by Canadian Whiskeystik out of MM Docs Bell and comes from the Moose Mountain Ranch program.

Paddy has been an absolute pleasure to work with. He is the kind of horse that makes training feel easy: willing, sensible, confident, and always ready to try whatever is asked of him. This weekend he will be going to his first all around horse show!

This video was his very first time riding bridleless outside over obstacles, and he killed it!

Moose Mountain Ranch deserves a lot of credit for consistently raising horses with the kind of temperament, trainability, and willingness that make them so enjoyable to develop.

Pretty proud of this guy and very excited to see how Paddy does this weekend with his human!
