🐾 Adopt a Senior Pet Month Spotlight: HAVEN 😻

Haven’s story is one of strength, love, and second chances. 💜

She was found outside in the winter, dumped at a barn in the freezing cold. We thought we’d found her a wonderful home, but a year later she was returned to us in poor health 😢
After several blood tests, fluids, anti-nausea meds, and treating her severe diarrhea, we discovered she was battling raging pancreatitis and, heartbreakingly, a tumour on her thyroid.
Despite everything, Haven has shown us what it truly means to be resilient! She’s now palliative, but she’s thriving and soaking up cuddles, burrowing under blankets, and spending her days with her loving foster mom 🥰
Haven is FIV positive and prefers to be the only cat, but what she wants most is simple: a warm lap and someone to love her for however much time she has left. 💕
Haven is available as a forever foster, and we’ll support her medical care as needed.
Let’s show this beautiful girl that every senior pet deserves to be cherished no matter their age or diagnosis. 🐱💖

We’re often asked if our cats are good with dogs. Unless they’re in one of our few foster homes with dogs, we simply don’t know.
Look at Miss Sophie tho!!!
From her family: Sophie and Ivy are particularly fond of each other. Ivy is always checking on Sophie, and if she doesn’t Sophie gets offended 🤣
These are the best updates and we’re over the moon for Sophie and her new family 😻

Meet Rebel!!
Rebel’s story began outside, likely abandoned when she became pregnant. She gave birth to 5 precious kittens, but heartbreak struck when she lost her sweet daughter, Rainbow.
Through it all, Rebel has shown strength, sass, and the will to love again. She’s a gorgeous tortie with just the right amount of toritude!!
Sometimes cats will tell us who they prefer to be with, and this is the case with Rebel!!
She did not do well in her foster room with the other cats.
We considered marking her as needing to be an only cat.
But then we had a thought, what if we try to reunite her with her brother, Xeno, who was saved from the same property a couple months after we took her in.
To see them reunite was amazing!
They rubbed all over each other and there is such a calmness to Rebel now.

We are obsessed with them!

Update on ABYSS! 💕
Our beautiful girl Abyss is thriving in her forever home with her new brother Dewey! The two are already inseparable playing, cuddling, and keeping each other company 😻
This is exactly why we never adopt out a single kitten to a home without another cat or kitten. Kittens need a buddy to learn proper play, burn off energy, and feel secure. Without one, they can develop what’s known as Single Kitten Syndrome, leading to rough play, separation anxiety, and even being returned to the rescue. In fact, single kittens are the #1 most returned cats to shelters!!!

We’re so happy Abyss has her perfect match and a lifetime of love ahead! 💖🐾

They get to grow up with 2 human siblings and be spoiled as the only pets. They have been waiting a long time to find their perfect forever home and they hit the lotto with this one!!
