Meet Versace! Versace is a husky mix, born on April 13th, 2025 and currently weighs 11lbs (expected to be approximately 70lbs fully grown). She is up-to-date on her vaccines and has been deflead, dewormed, and microchipped. Versace is part of mama Chanel’s “designer” litter which also includes: Gucci, Valentino, Gabbana, Armani, Dior, Prada (adopted), Dolce, and Fendi (adopted).

Here is what Versace’s foster family has to share:

Versace is shy but quick to warm up with gentle encouragement. She enjoys playful activities, walks, cuddle times, and would be awesome with a friendly dog companion.

Versace has increased in her walking on leash skills and is 90% there. She does all her potty training outside now, such a good girl. At night, we drop pads, which she has mastered. Versace comes on command, sits, and is trying to shake paw.

She is very social with big and small dogs and loves cats. Versace loves adventures hiking, swimming in shallow areas so far, and playing catch. She sleeps very well in and out of kennel and sleeps all night.

Versace is a cuddler and looks deep into your heart when she wants attention—it is so sweet. She thrives on schedule and has shown great listening and wants to please skills. For a husky mix, she has a calm quiet personality. Versace is very serious about everything she does, whether it’s fun, training, or listening.

What is PAW Month?
It’s a heartfelt initiative where customers can give back in a meaningful way. You can:

All funds go directly toward helping our rescue dogs get the care and supplies they need.

💛 Our goal is to raise $2,500 by the end of June—and we’re incredibly grateful to both Ladner and Coquitlam Bosley’s for going above and beyond with their support. Their generosity keeps us going all year long, and this month, they’re helping us reach even more pups in need.

We can’t believe sweet Sundae has been looking for her forever home for 100 days! 💔 It breaks our hearts that she’s growing up in care instead of with a family who will cherish her.

As our third longest dog in care, we’ve reduced her adoption fee by $250 because we know she deserves the perfect family.

Meet Sundae, our laid-back shepherd bully mix who absolutely loves people and gets so excited meeting new friends that she wiggles her whole bum! This smart, fully house-trained pup knows tons of commands and is extremely food motivated, making training a breeze. Meet Solstice! Solstice is a Shepherd mix, born on October 1st, 2024 and currently weighing in at 46 lbs (expected to be approximately 70 lbs full grown). He is up-to-date on his vaccines and has been deflead, dewormed, microchipped, and recently neutered. Solstice is sibling to Spring and Summer.

Here is what Solstice’s foster family has to share:

Solstice is a gem and a delight to foster! Initially he was shy and nervous indoors, but he has come such a long way. He now handles stairs like a pro and enjoys the comforts of being inside, though he still loves lounging outside in the grass or at your feet on the deck.

He is incredibly loving and gentle, especially when taking food, and loves nothing more than pets and cuddles from his humans. This boy is amazing with kids - he’ll happily lay there while they hug him and climb over him, completely unbothered by their noise or excitement!

Solstice is potty trained and will wait to be taken out, giving a little whine if he really needs to go. He sleeps well at night without being crated and can be left home with free range of the house. While he might protest initially, he settles well and causes no destruction (just keep cords hidden as he’s chewed one!).

On leash he’s become much less erratic and has improved at walking calmly beside his foster brother instead of trying to jump and play. He knows “sit,” “leave it,” “wait,” and “walk.” While he still shows some reactivity by barking at other dogs, he’s learning to relax and settle at a distance - continuing to improve every day!

This sweet boy would do well as an only pet or with other pets. He’s slowly coming out of his shell, showing his chatty side when annoyed and starting to discover the joy of playing with toys. Everyone who meets this handsome boy adores his gentle nature!

Meet Mickey! Mickey is a husky mix, born on May 2nd, 2024 and currently weighs just over 50lbs. She is up-to-date on her vaccines and has been deflead, dewormed, microchipped and spayed. Mickey is the proud mom of six now-adopted puppies: Spruce, Olive, Gunther, Miss Cramer, Mossy, and Meadow.

Her adoption comes with a one-week trial period and a complimentary phone session with our experienced trainer to address any questions or concerns.

Here is what Mickey’s foster family has to share about this sweet girl:

Mickey is a funny, lively husky who loves to voice her opinions and join you on all adventures! This one-year-old is still very much a playful juvenile who desperately wants to play with everyone she meets - both dogs and people alike. She’s been fantastic with kids aged 11 and 13, and happily flops on her back for belly rubs from kids and adults.

This smart girl is house trained and alerts when she needs to go out. She begrudgingly goes into her crate during the day when needed, and after some initial protests (typical husky!), she’ll patiently wait for your return. We’ve left her crated for up to two hours without issue. She prefers sleeping out of her crate at night and has been non-destructive, happily snoozing near her humans.

Mickey is still learning leash manners and does pull, but with time and training this will improve. She does show some resource guarding around food with other dogs, which isn’t unusual at her age and should resolve with consistency. Due to her size and enthusiasm, she may not be the best match for very small dogs, as she doesn’t always recognize them as fellow dogs. Her strong prey drive means she would not be suitable for a home with cats. She could also use an extra five pounds to reach her ideal weight.

If you love being outdoors and want an adventure buddy who will constantly make you laugh, Mickey is your girl!

Meet Trout! Trout is a husky mix, born on March 1st, 2025 and currently weighs 15lbs. He is up-to-date on his vaccines and has been deflead, dewormed, and microchipped.

Here is what Trout’s foster family has to share about this special boy:

Trout may be a one-eyed wonder, but don’t let his past fool you — this boy is not a fragile soul. He’s a classic husky pup: vocal, dramatic, whip-smart, and just the right amount of bratty. After surviving a serious attack by another dog, Trout underwent emergency surgery to remove an eye and part of his skull. He’s made a full physical recovery and is ready to start his next chapter. But let’s be clear — we’re not looking for sympathy applicants. Trout needs someone who sees who he is now, not just what he’s been through.

🦴 Training & Personality:
Trout is mouthy, as huskies tend to be, and when he gets excited, he can bite a little too hard during play. We’re actively working on redirecting this behavior and teaching him more appropriate ways to interact. Because of this, we do not recommend a home with young children. He’s mastered “sit,” is kennel trained, and potty training is well underway. He’s food motivated and loves to learn — with the right guidance, he’ll thrive.

🐾 He needs an adopter who won’t let him rule the home.
He’s clever, opportunistic, and fully prepared to run the show if you let him. He’ll test boundaries and push limits — so his future person needs to have structure, consistency, and the confidence to say “nice try, buddy.”

🐶 Social Side:
Despite his past, Trout does well with other dogs. He can be a bit of a drama king if another dog corrects him or scares him, but he bounces back quickly. Slow, respectful introductions are key. He’s also a little sensitive to loud noises, so reassurance and confidence-building will go a long way.

❤️ Velcro Dog Alert:
Trout adores his people and will follow you everywhere. He’s sweet, and wants to be involved in everything you’re doing. While it’s endearing, we’re also working on helping him build some independence so he doesn’t develop separation anxiety — something his adopter will need to continue to work on.

🏠 Trout’s Ideal Home:
• Husky or working breed experience strongly preferred
• Someone ready for consistent training, structure, and boundary setting
• A detached home with a secure yard
• No young children
• A home that understands (and embraces) a vocal, dramatic, energetic pup
• Confident leadership to help him grow into a well-balanced adult
• A family committed to building his confidence and independence gradually

Trout is incredibly special — not just because of what he’s been through, but because of the sweet, spunky, and slightly ridiculous dog he is today. With the right home, he’s going to be someone’s best friend, sidekick, and constant source of laughter and love.
