Everyday pets like yours need blood transfusions to give them the best chance for a successful recovery from serious illness or trauma.

Is your cat or dog a good fit for our program? Our Blood Donor Program supplies blood products to the Lower Mainland and occasionally to other parts of British Columbia.

Animals required blood transfusions for a number of reasons including, but not limited to, major accidents in which they have lost blood, emergency surgery, some types of blood disorders and cancer.

AECFV will perform blood tests, at no cost to you, to make sure your pet is healthy. Once enrolled in our program, our donors receive regular bloodwork at no cost. In addition, if a donor ever requires emergency care, our emergency fee will be waived and there will be no cost if they ever require a blood transfusion at our hospital.
To thank you for your petโ€™s life-saving donation you will receive a gift card of your choice after each donation and your pet gets treats donated by Bark and Fitz Langley and JD Farms.
