JD Wagon Boss babies finish first, third and forth in the 2024 Alberta bred futurity. That is the third year in a row {since his first foals hit the track} that he has sired the winner of that race. Alberta Quarter Horse Racing Association Holds Annual Meeting, Honors 2022 Racing Champions

RED DEER, AB–DECEMBER 1, 2022­The Alberta Quarter Horse Racing Association (AQHRA) held its annual meeting on Saturday at the Cambridge Red Deer Hotel and Conference Center in Red Deer, Alberta.

The association also honored its 2022 AQRA Racing Champions at the meeting.

Northfork Boss was named the Grand Champion Running Horse, Champion 2-Year-old, Alberta Bred 2-year-old Colt/Gelding and champion Alberta Bred.

Owned by Del Gehring, Buckey Stockwell, Glenn Wills and trained by Stockwell, Northfork Boss won four of eight starts including the Alberta Bred Futurity(RG3), AQHRA Sales Stakes Futurity and was third in the Canada Cup Futurity(G2) and John Deere Evergreen Park Juvenile Challenge.

He is the leading Canadian first-crop sire JD Wagon Boss from the Spanish Boot mare Northfork Babe. K. Glenn Willis is the breeder.
