Birthday Sharesies! 🥳🎂

Somewhere along the way, Gus & Carisa’s shared birthday photo became a tradition and we’re not about to mess with a good thing. Here's to another year!❤️

Handsome Golden Gus officially turned eight, and as a certified F&H VIP'er, he’s spent more than a few of those years making himself right at home around here.

And then there’s our handler Carisa. ❤️ A huge part of the F&H team and someone who cares immensely about the dogs entrusted to us.
She notices the little things, advocates for them fiercely, and genuinely cares about every dog under her watch, which makes us incredibly grateful to have her.

The fact that these two get to share their birthday and now another annual birthday photo, makes their day a little more special.

Happy 8th Birthday, Gus, and the happiest of birthdays to Carisa! 🥂🐾

Same time, same place next year, you two. It’s tradition now. 🎂

Let's name the breed🐾

A little Viking.
A little floof.
A whole lot of personality. 🖤

This ancient Scandinavian breed was developed as a hardy hunting dog, famous for helping track moose and other large game. Their beautiful silver-grey double coat was built to handle some seriously rugged Nordic weather.

Any guesses? 👀

Archie is Three!! 🎉

If a Lab walks into a party and doesn’t immediately become the party… is he even a Lab?

Archie celebrated the big 3 with us at the F&H, bringing his usual combination of enthusiasm and an unwavering commitment to having the BEST. DAY. EVER. 😂

Three years old. Zero plans to settle down.

Meet Mango! 🥭💦

Mango attended his first day and would like everyone to know that he has reviewed the premises and found one amenity particularly acceptable: WATER.

The other dogs? Fine.
The handlers? Also fine.
The camera? Absolutely not. 😂📸

Sweet Mango is a bit of a wallflower. He was perfectly content hanging out with our quieter small dogs, watching the world go by and keeping mostly to himself.
He wasn’t looking to be the life of the party he was just happy to be included in it.

But then came the splash pad…

Well, hello Mango. 💦😂

Suddenly this shy guy had somewhere to be. He splashed, cooled off and apparently forgot for a moment that we owned a camera.
Turns out the way to Mango’s heart may not be treats or attention, just water🖤

Quiet. Easygoing. Unbothered. Secretly aquatic.

Welcome to the F&H, Mango. 🥭 We’ll keep the splash pad ready for you.

Today is Rainbow Bridge Rememberance Day 🌈

It feels like the right day to share Coby's story.
A story special to us.

For more than ten years, we had the privilege of knowing Coby. He was a familiar and much-loved part of the F&H, and through those years, we also developed a very special relationship with his family.

When it came time to say goodbye, Coby's family entrusted us with something incredibly meaningful by allowing the F&H to become his final resting place.

Coby now rests quietly among the trees here on our property, in a peaceful little spot that will always be his. 🤍
Where his family can come to visit and remember, privately.

We are fortunate to have the space to provide this, and Coby's family has graciously allowed us to share his story so other F&H families know this is something we are quietly able to extend.

For those special dogs who have grown up with us, spent years coming through our doors and have truly become part of our F&H family, if the day comes when you would find comfort in having a special forever spot, somewhere they knew and loved, please know we're here as an option.

Coby will always have his place here, beneath the trees. (And forever chasing those bunnies away, his favorite task) 🤍

Most of us have experienced the loss of a beloved pet and how deeply their absence is felt.
Today is a beautiful reminder to remember them, to share their stories, and to hold onto all the years we were lucky enough to have them. 🌈🤍

Here's Buddy Bear! 🐻🖤

Say hello to Buddy, aka BUDDY BEAR. One very large boy with one very soft résumé. 😂

Buddy rolled into his first day like he’d been coming here for years.
New dogs? No problem. New people? Please pet me. Acres of new smells?
Better investigate every last one.

And then we introduced him to the pool. 💦

Turns out, underneath all that big-boy real estate is… a fish.

Buddy Bear took to the water like it was exactly where he was supposed to be, hopping in for a swim with Bella and his new friends.
Apparently “gentle giant” and “aquatic mammal” can coexist.

Incredibly sweet and polite with the other dogs, soaked up every ounce of handler attention, and thoroughly inspected every inch of the play yards.

Big body. Big heart. Zero drama. 100% Buddy Bear. 🐻

A+ for you, Buddy Bear. Welcome to the F&H, big guy🖤
