💔 DONATION CALL... WE COULD REALLY USE OUR COMMUNITY TODAY 💔
Today was a pretty disappointing day for Daisy’s Place.
With our local pound closing to move locations, we had been looking forward to having the opportunity to pick up some of the supplies they could no longer use. Daisy’s Place, along with other rescues, had been invited and given scheduled times to come in.
Unfortunately, when we arrived for our scheduled time, almost everything was already gone.
There were piles of supplies set aside and leaving our community, including with a rescue from approximately 40 minutes outside of our area, while we walked out with next to nothing but some linens.
And I won’t lie… that hurt.
We work incredibly hard to support dogs and families right here in our community. We take local surrenders, step up when dogs need somewhere to go, help families when we can, and rely almost entirely on the generosity of the people around us to keep doing it.
To arrive at our scheduled time, see supplies still sitting there waiting to leave the area, and leave with virtually nothing was incredibly disheartening.
But instead of dwelling on it, we’re going to do what Daisy’s Place always does — turn to our village. ❤️
Right now, we are desperately looking for donations of:
🐾 Crates
🐾 Dog beds
🐾 Blankets, towels and linens
🐾 Toys
🐾 P*e pads
🐾 Wet puppy food
🐾 Wet adult dog food
New or gently used supplies would mean so much to us.
If you have anything sitting around that your dog no longer uses, or you’re able to grab an extra item while you’re out shopping, please reach out to us.
We may have left today with an almost empty vehicle, but I know the incredible community behind Daisy’s Place has filled that vehicle before, and I have no doubt you guys can help us do it again. 🥺❤️
