Our hearts are incredibly heavy to hear the news about Jesse, founder of Raincoast Dog Rescue and a true pillar in our local animal rescue community.

Jesse fearlessly dedicated his life to helping animals in need. Tragically, he lost his life while working on the front lines in Ukraine to rescue and evacuate animals affected by the war. The animals he helped, the people he inspired, and the impact of his work will never be forgotten.

Our deepest condolences go out to Jesse’s family, friends, everyone at Raincoast Dog Rescue, and all those who knew and loved him. Rest easy, Jesse. ❤️‍🩹🐾

What is the Wolf In Winter Way? 🐾

It’s our outdoor adventure philosophy — and the standard behind every day with us.

From door-to-door transportation to thoughtfully matched packs, trusted handlers, structured freedom, and private spaces to explore, every part of the experience is designed with intention.

We want dogs who are engaged with their handlers, comfortable moving within a group, responsive when called, confident enough to explore, and able to settle and take space when they need it.

Because a great adventure day should be more than just exercise. It should feel seamless for you, fulfilling for your dog, and built around the kind of care and learning that keeps them excited to come back.

That’s the Wolf In Winter Way. 🐺✨🚐🩷

Friday mood: pretending pool season isn’t almost over. 🥲💦 We’re not ready either.

Pack life isn’t about making every dog play with every dog. 🐾 Some of the best social skills look pretty uneventful: sharing space calmly, respecting boundaries, checking in, taking breaks, and learning when to engage and when to move on.

That’s why thoughtful group matching and structured adventure time matter so much. Good socialization isn’t just about making friends, it’s also about helping dogs feel confident and respected around others. 🤍🌲
