🐾 Tick Advisory for Pet Owners 🐾
We are seeing an exceptionally high number of ticks on pets right now, and they are very active in our area.
Please take a few moments each day to check your pets, especially around the:
✔️ Ears
✔️ Neck and collar area
✔️ Between the toes
✔️ Armpits
✔️ Groin area
✔️ Under the tail
✔️ Face and head
If your pet is not currently on a veterinarian-approved tick prevention program, now is a great time to speak with your veterinarian about the best option for your pet.
For the safety of all pets in our care, please let us know if you have recently found ticks on your pet before your grooming or boarding appointment. (This will not hinder your appointment or reservation)
❌When to be concerned about a tick bite if your pet develops symptoms like fever, lethargy, loss of appetite, or sudden lameness in the weeks following the bite. While a small, red, itchy bump at the bite site is normal, severe localized reactions or systemic illness require immediate veterinary care.❌
Remember, even indoor pets can pick up ticks from people, other pets, or brief outdoor trips.
If you need help removing a tick contact us or your veterinarian, we will have tick twisters available hopefully by end of next week.
Happy tick-checking! 🐶🐱
