🚨 The Japanese Beetle is active RIGHT NOW on your plants (July-August = red zone)
These photos were taken directly on our outdoor plants in Quebec 🍃 Recognizable by its copper-brown wing covers and shiny metallic green thorax.
What most people don't know: it's the larva — the white grub — that does the most damage, and it attacks your roots UNDERGROUND, invisible to the naked eye. A plant that's yellowing "for no reason" or uproots too easily? Check the root system before blaming anything else.
How to spot it and act:
✅ Daily inspection under the leaves (morning, before 9am)
✅ Neem oil + hand-picking
✅ Beneficial nematodes against larvae in the soil
✅ Companion plants: garlic, lavender, marigold, geranium
