Over the past couple of months, we have been incredibly proud to see THREE of our Service Dog teams successfully complete and pass their Public Access Test (PAT) for a second or third time. This achievement reflects the tremendous dedication, commitment, and hard work these teams have invested in earning and maintaining their BC Service Dog certification.

Today, we are especially excited to celebrate one of our youngest and most recent recertification teams. Zoey began her service dog training journey at just 15 years old and has developed an extraordinary partnership with her service dog, Duchess. Through determination, perseverance, and countless hours of training, Zoey has demonstrated that with commitment and a positive attitude, incredible things are possible. We are so proud of all that she and Duchess have accomplished together and of the remarkable bond they share.

We are deeply grateful to all of our clients who place their trust in us throughout the training process. It is a privilege not only to help teams develop the skills needed for successful public access but also to support them in mitigating the challenges of their disabilities and advocating for their needs.

Watching these partnerships grow and flourish is one of the most rewarding aspects of what we do. Service dogs provide invaluable support, independence, and companionship, and it is truly an honor to walk alongside these teams as they progress on their journeys. Congratulations to all of our service dog teams on their continued success—we are proud to be part of your story.

💫These little tricksters are at it again!!! 🌟🤩🪄

Our Intermediate Trick Training class worked hard this week learning new skills, building confidence, and strengthening their teamwork with their handlers. From focus and problem-solving to advanced tricks and body awareness, these dogs continue to impress us every single class!

There’s nothing better than seeing happy dogs leave class mentally enriched, successful, and ready for a well-earned nap. We are so proud of all the progress these teams are making! 💙

Pfizer and Chanelle continue to make an incredible impact through their work with Carrier Sekani Family Services, supporting individuals, families, and communities with connection, compassion, and comfort. Whether providing a calming presence during difficult moments, bringing smiles to community events, or helping create safe spaces for healing and conversation, this remarkable team demonstrates the profound difference therapy dogs can make.

Pfizer is also contributing to Chanelle’s master’s thesis research, exploring the impact therapy dogs have on wellbeing within counselling spaces — an important and meaningful area of study that continues to highlight the value of human-animal connection.

Congratulations to Chanelle and Pfizer on their recertification! Your dedication, professionalism, and compassion continue to inspire our community, and we are so proud of all the lives you touch through your work together.
