“Oliver”
Aka Olli-G, Olli-gator, Ollie
took his therapy dog skills over the rainbow bridge to join his furry friends in the great hereafter.
He spent his formative years with Mya & Lexi Wasstrom until he transitioned to living in the Megyesi household; where he trained to be one of the few Dogs-With-Jobs.
He was fortunate enough to train & volunteer with the first Canadian RCMP Therapy Dog, Max (& Yogi too).
He spent a plethora of hours calming students & staff at CNC & UNBC during exam weeks where he reinforced Pavlov’s theories for many a stressed out Psychology student. He even appeared in a local tv news story about the services provided by Caring K9 Therapy Dogs.
Evacuees from the 2017 Williams Lake Wildfires escaped their traumatic ordeal to enjoy his assortment of his tricks for treats. He also brought his skills to a variety of Quesnel, Prince George & Vancouver hospitals, OSI Clinics, Police Conferences, retirement homes and funerals.
He will be greatly missed, and fondly remembered by his Megyesi & Scholten families and friends, both with four legs & two.
“You CAN teach an old dog new tricks.”
