✨ BUT...here's the great news! We’re introducing a new after-hours teletriage service for those moments when your pet’s health concern just can’t wait until we're open. You’ll now be able to speak directly with a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) after hours through Animal HealthLink. They’ll ask a few questions (and may even use photos or videos) to assess your pet’s condition and guide you on what to do next.

📞📱 Just call our main clinic number (250) 947-1763 and you’ll be connected if it's after-hours.

We also suggest adding the following numbers into your contacts too 👇🏽

It’s been a long time coming… but it’s finally official! 🎉 Please join us in congratulating Dr. Marwan, who is now completely and fully licensed as a vet in BC! 🏆

We are beyond grateful for this absolute cat whisperer😹 From the spiciest hissers to the shyest souls, he meets them all with calm confidence and zero fear!With his subtle wit, calm demeanor and undeniable love for animals, it’s no wonder he fits so beautifully into our team.

We guess it was a reeeaaach to think our X-ray would be fixed today 🙀😬🫠 Turns out a very unique piece is broken, and the replacement has to be ordered. We’ll keep you posted as soon as it arrives… (if you don’t already hear us cheering when it does...because we’ll be shouting from the rooftops! 🎉)

So many exciting things just keep happening 🙌🏾

It seemed about time to announce our exciting news! Dr. Large and the team at Helping Paws have been busy working behind the scenes to figure out the details of where the future would take us.

Well, with Fantastic Beasts Veterinary Services opening a new clinic in Nanaimo, it seemed like the perfect opportunity for us to partner with them and their Pawsitive Care program they have worked so hard to develop.

Renovations are underway at their new clinic right here in Nanaimo, so we will eagerly hold our breath and cross our claws that goes smoothly, with a goal to be back providing services (likely on a weekend instead while they are closed) out of their facility in January 2026. Folks will have access to information about their Pawsitove care program as well.

Stay tuned for more information as is develops!
