While we're excited to help these little ones find families, we'd also like to take this opportunity to remind the public that wild rabbits are often best left where they are found. Vancouver Island is home to a very large rabbit population, and removing healthy rabbits from their environment can do more harm than good. Wild rabbits are extremely sensitive to stress and can develop capture (or "trapper's") myopathy, a serious condition caused by the physical and emotional stress of being chased, handled, or confined.

We are hoping to find adopters with rabbit experience, as rabbits are considered exotic pets and are often not the best choice for a first-time pet owner. They require specialized diets, housing, enrichment, and veterinary care to live happy, healthy lives.

Available bunnies are: Charlie, Bill, Fred, George, and Ron (we had to stick to the HP theme). They are approximately 3 months old and neutered.

🐾 PARKSVILLE FBVS WEEKEND HOURS: 🐾

We will be open Saturday, June 6 from 8am - 8pm,
then open 24hrs from
Sunday, June 7 at 8am until Friday, June 12 at 10pm

Please note - we have been experiencing a marked increased in urgent and emergency cases, as well as those requiring hospitalization. If you are having difficulty reaching us by phone, please leave a vaoicemail and we will get back to you as soon as possible. You can also email us with non-urgent requests or questions.

We appreciate your kindness and patience as we try to find balance between the needs of our community, staff, and patients! 🌸🌺

In light of recent changes to the Emergency vet coverage next week, Fantastic Beasts has decided to delay our staff training.

WE WILL STAY OPEN OVERNIGHT
SUNDAY, JUNE 7 AND MONDAY, JUNE 8 🦄🦄🦄
(as well as our regular Tues-Thursday overnight coverage.)

Fantastic Beasts is planning a full day of staff training on
JUNE 8 (next Monday).

We will be CLOSED for the whole day learning more ways to help your furry loved ones!

Our AHL after-hours team members will be answering the phones to help guide those with pet-related concerns in the right direction.

Did you know that Fantastic Beasts partners with the BC SPCA (BCSPCA) Pet Registry?

This is a non-profit program that aims to spread awareness about the importance of permanent identification in pets.
Through their generous grant program, Fantastic Beasts has been able to provide hundreds of low and no-cost microchips through our Rescue and Pawsitive Care divisions.

Last weekend we were invited to their Openhouse where we enjoyed games, tours, treats, and more! One of our staff members even won an awesome doggo treat-basket😁
