As some of you may recall, I started Supporting Paws because of one tiny little 2 day old kitten. One of our colony cats abandoned him because he was sick. Toe Beans Cat Rescue- Ottawa had a spot for him and Gulliver, and at just 2 days old he had his first road trip.

Later that year, we came to realize the Vars colony was growing rapidly and we needed help. Cat Rescue Network to the rescue, along with a few others. They were able to TNR almost 25 cats since. Some were even friendly enough to be adopted. The pregnant cats had their babies in a safe space and all the kittens have been adopted as well.

Being a rescue does not come easily for anyone though.
- Long days
- Failed securing attempts
- 100% volunteer
- Endless searching for foster families, donations, resources
- Constant email for intakes
I wanted to help!

There have been many exciting adventure since working with the rescues but TNR in Vars is one of my most memorable. The best feel good memory was when I received a call to help Toe Beans as they received a huge lot of cat litter donation from Pet Valu Carleton Place. Who knew a truck bed full of litter would bring so much joy!

So from the bottom of my heart, thank you to these rescues and to all the others out there helping cats, dogs, and any other rescued animals! I truly hope Supporting Paws Donations will be able to help make a difference for them as they did for me 💕

Donation weekend is well underway! 🥰

* Certain items from my personal Marketplace page are selling and 💯 of the proceeds of those items are going to Supporting Paws Donations. (Note, I'm trying to figure out how to delete the event that failed and create a working one on this page with those items).

** After picking up the incredibly kind giant cat litter donations we received from Pet Valu Carleton Place, we have it all organized and today was our first drop off of 12 bags to Toe Beans Cat Rescue- Ottawa - Kanata. Cat Rescue Network I believe you will be out next stop on Sunday. Rockland will be the last stop for this venture and will be receiving litter and food for cats under your care, including colony cats.

*** We are always looking for food, toy, and other donations for not only cats but all animals to ensure we can help as many animals as we possibly can. If your pet isn't found of a particular item anymore, please consider donating it to Supporting Paws!

**** Lastly, there are a bunch of exciting behind the scenes things taking place and I look forward to the day I get to share with everyone the very exciting news! But for now, thank you for all of your support this far! This would not be possible without you all❣️

Thank you Toe Beans Cat Rescue- Ottawa and Pet Valu Warehouse in Carleton Place for allowing us to be a part of this amazing mission!

We will be sharing this haul of cat litter with other rescues to help kitty's all across Eastern Ontario! Thank you Supporting Paws Donations for helping us with this!
