Comfie Cat Shelter Established in 2005, situated in Orillia, Ontario, the Comfie Cat Shelter stands as a beacon of hope for felines in need.

Dedicated to tackling the challenges of overpopulation, abandonment, and neglect, we proudly operate as a no-kill sanctuary for cats. The Comfie Cat Shelter is a no-kill shelter founded in 2005 to address the issue of the over population of abandoned cats. The shelter was established because the number of cats being abandoned or neglected is increasing every year. The members/volunteers of The Com

fie Cat Shelter believe in helping cats in need. If accepted, cats surrendered by their owners must be defleaed and vaccinated. Cats that have been rescued or accepted from people who are no longer able to care for them, are given veterinary care and medication when required. Cats and older kittens are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Kittens too young to be spayed/neutered come with a $50 certificate to be refunded when proof of spay/neuter is shown. Until recently all of the cats were kept in foster homes until permanent homes could be found for them. The foster homes are screened for their ability to give quality care and a loving environment to the cats or kittens. While we continue to use foster homes when needed, we now have a location at 112 Norweld Drive. in Orillia and we invite the public to make an appointment at (705) 326-1545 to visit and meet the cats for adoption.

Born in April 2025, Jonesy is a handsome, sweet boy who might be a little shy when you first meet him, but once he warms up, he turns into an absolute purr factory! All he needs is a little patience, and he will quickly show you his wonderful, loving heart. 🌸✨

Jonesy is a total delight who loves interacting with his favourite humans and having fun. He is a huge fan of cat toys and will happily entertain you with his playful antics before settling in for some sweet bonding time. 🧸💨

This friendly guy also gets along great with other cats, making him a wonderful addition to a home with a resident feline friend! While he hasn't been tested with dogs yet, his gentle nature gives him great potential with proper, slow introductions. 🐾🐈

If you have a little love and patience to share, Jonesy is ready to blossom, fill your home with loud purrs, and become your newest best friend! 🏠💖

This week we are so excited to share that Bagheera & Binx, Comet, and Zoe have all found their furever homes! 🎉❤️

From our sweet bonded pair heading off on their next adventure together to our wonderful solo stars, each of these amazing cats has found the perfect family to love them. 🏡🐱💖 We couldn’t be happier to see them settle into their new lives filled with cozy beds, warm laps, and endless head scritches.

🖤🤍 Meet Tux! 🤍🖤

Born in July 2022, Tux is a playful, affectionate, and gentle boy with a wonderfully easy-going personality. 🐾 He gets along well with other cats and tends to take life in stride, making him a great fit for many different homes.

Tux absolutely loves attention and being pet. When he’s in the mood for affection (which is often!), he’ll give the sweetest little head butts to let you know it’s time for some love. 💕

Playtime is another one of his favourite things, especially when toy mice are involved! 🐭 He loves tossing them up into the air and entertaining himself (and you) with his playful antics.

He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he gets to know you, his friendly and affectionate nature truly shines. Tux thrives on human companionship and enjoys being near his people. He does like to have his people to himself so would do best as the only animal in the house.

Born in September 2015, Chatsworth is a remarkably lovely young gentleman who is finally ready to find his true forever sanctuary. This sweet boy has had a very heavy heart lately; he was brought to the shelter after his beloved owner sadly passed away. For a while, Chatsworth was deeply grieving and experiencing depression from such a profound loss. But we are absolutely thrilled to share that he has just started to come out of his shell, showing beautiful signs of happiness once again! He is ready to open his heart to a second chance at a beautiful life. 🌸❤️

Chatsworth is a gentle soul who thrives in a peaceful environment, making him the absolute perfect companion for a quiet home or a senior household looking for a devoted friend. While he is not a fan of other cats and strictly requires a kingdom where he can be the only pet, he is absolutely fantastic with humans.
