Ivy is new to us at the Orillia Centre, but her journey to find a forever home began long before she arrived here.

482 days.

That's how long Ivy has been waiting for a family of her own.

For 482 days, Ivy has been in and out of shelters, never knowing the stability and consistency that every dog deserves. No familiar couch to curl up on. No person to call her own. No home where she knows she'll wake up tomorrow.

Instead, night after night, Ivy goes to sleep alone in a kennel.

And despite all of that, she remains one of the sweetest, happiest dogs you'll ever meet.

Ivy is a beautiful 3-year-old Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and a joyful spirit that refuses to fade. She finds excitement in the simplest things: a walk, a toy, a kind word, or a few moments spent with her favorite people. Her tail never seems to stop wagging, and her enthusiasm for life is contagious.

She's incredibly devoted to her humans and thrives on affection. Ivy wants nothing more than to be by your side, whether you're heading out on an adventure or relaxing at home. She has excellent recall, a wonderful personality, and so much love to give.

Most importantly, Ivy is a very, very good girl.

She has waited patiently through months of uncertainty. She has watched other dogs leave while she stayed behind. Through it all, she has continued to greet people with hope, trust, and a wagging tail.

Ivy would do best in a home with older children where she can be the only pet and enjoy being the center of someone's world.

After spending 482 days without a place to truly call home, Ivy has finally made her way to us. We can only hope that we are her final stop before she finds the forever family she's been waiting so long for.

After 482 days, it's time for Ivy to know what it feels like to have a bed of her own, a family waiting for her at the end of the day, and the comfort of knowing she is finally home.

Please help us find the forever family this sweet girl deserves.

Meet Bourbon ๐Ÿพ

Bourbon is a 2-year-old Shepherd mix looking for his forever home. He can be a little stand-offish at first, but once he knows you're a friend, his sweet and playful personality shines through.

He loves to run and explore, so he'd do best in an active home with plenty of adventures. Bourbon has been friendly meeting other dogs through fences and may do well with a canine companion after proper introductions.

He hasn't met children or cats yet, but with patience and slow introductions, he may adjust well.

If you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy, Bourbon could be your perfect match! ๐Ÿ’™

Meet Birdie! ๐Ÿพ

Birdie is a 1.5-year-old Lab mix who is as sweet as she is smart! This active girl is always ready for her next adventure and would thrive in a home that can match her love for fun and activity. With her athleticism and eagerness to learn, Birdie would make an amazing agility dog or outdoor companion.

Birdie has done very well with other dogs in the past and enjoys canine companionship. She has not yet been introduced to kids or cats, so slow and thoughtful introductions would be important.

One of Birdie's favorite things is swimming! Whether it's trips to the beach, weekends at the cottage, or camping by the lake, Birdie will be right in her element. She's looking for a family who will enjoy bringing her along on adventures and giving her the love, exercise, and enrichment she needs.

If you're looking for a loyal, intelligent, and fun-loving companion, Birdie might be your perfect match!

Meet Summit! ๐Ÿพ

Summit is a 1.5-year-old Great Pyrenees/Karakachan mix on the hunt for a home that truly fits his nature. As a livestock guardian breed mix, Summit is loyal, smart, and naturally protective, always aware of whatโ€™s happening around him.

This big guy thrives outdoors, loves the water, and enjoys having space to explore, patrol, and keep watch over his surroundings. Heโ€™s the kind of dog who feels most fulfilled when he has room to roam and a purpose to carry out.

Summit is not suited for city life, suburban neighborhoods, or apartment living. He needs a rural property with plenty of land, along with an adopter who understands guardian breeds and can provide the structure and guidance he needs to succeed.

Because of his strong protective instincts, Summit is looking for a home where he can be the only pet. With proper introductions, he may do well with larger livestock (anything bigger than a goat), but adopters with farm animals should be ready to take things slow and give him time to adjust to his new environment.

In the right setting, Summit has all the makings of an incredible companion and dedicated protector. If you have experience with working or guardian breeds and are searching for a loyal partner for your property, Summit may be the one for you. ๐Ÿ’™

๐ŸŒผ Meet Daisy ๐ŸŒผ

At just a year and a half old, Daisy is truly one of a kind. With her striking looks, and unique features, she has the kind of beauty that makes you stop in your tracks, but itโ€™s her sweet nature that makes you fall in love!

This gorgeous mixed-breed girl made her way to us from Northern Ontario, hoping to find the forever home sheโ€™s been waiting for. Daisy is gentle, loving, and has absolutely no mean bone in her body. She has such a kind spirit and has so much love to give.

Daisy is also an athletic girl who would thrive with an active family to share adventures with, whether itโ€™s hikes, long walks, or exploring new places together. She is dog selective and hasnโ€™t had the chance to meet kids or cats yet. Daisy would love a home that will work with her at her own pace, helping her build skills and continue growing into an even more amazing girl than she already is.

A girl this special doesnโ€™t come around often. Daisy is as unique on the inside as she is on the outside, now all she needs is her perfect forever family. ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’™

Meet Darla!

Darla is an 8-year-old Lab mix with a heart full of love and a gentle soul. Like many mature dogs, she takes a little time to feel comfortable in new situations and may seem a bit skeptical when meeting new people. But give her some patience, kindness, and a few treats, and youโ€™ll quickly see her sweet personality shine through.

Once Darla trusts you, sheโ€™s a loyal and affectionate companion who enjoys being close to her people. Darla would love to be the star of the show, as the only pet in the home. She would love a stable, loving home where she can settle in at her own pace and enjoy the comforts of family life.
