We are going to start handling those feet and working toward her official job!
Vida is such a kind soul.
More than likely here to stay unless the perfect person wanders by.

What a lovely view.

One of our last herds with any fjord blood left, mostly watered out nowadays but the build makeup is evident.
This herd contains my Vida's sisters, led by stallion Balboa.

The herd managers and I have been talking about gathering the double cream stock as they have a hard time getting to adulthood on range. If anyone happens to have paddock space for a double dilute, or even a single cream, we are happy to chat!

Hard tying saves lives and is a vital part of training, you wont find blocker rings or ties that give-way when pulled here.
This little lady is set to be a teens new bestfriend so we want her as solid as can be!

Wildie mares and their on board packages always have a way of throwing us a curveball.
We may have another Zara baby on the way in the coming weeks if I am noticing these changes correctly 🫠

Going to be a full schedule this fall! Hopefully Zara and Vida get along alright when we do introductions and we can have an uncomplicated mare herd for the time being.

2024 throwback of Zara.
I wish mares and I worked together better. She truly is something wonderful when the wind blows the right way.
Shes a gorgeous mare that seems to throw outstandingly quiet foals.

Glad fate said no to her leaving back then, now.

So over the last few weeks we have been watching a herd close to the subdivision, and noted them missing for 3 days.

The herd was known to us, all of them claimed stock or memorial horses.

On their re-appearance we made the tragic discovery that our wildie mare Zara's yearling c**t had a horrid wire related injury.

With help from Mr Stelkia himself, we were able to gather the herd and bring Zara and Oscar home to dr him.

We will see what the future holds but we have tended worse! As long as we can keep infection out we have a really solid shot at a full recovery.
Zara is likely in foal and due soon, so this may have more twists to come. 🫠
