Wildie mares and their on board packages always have a way of throwing us a curveball.
We may have another Zara baby on the way in the coming weeks if I am noticing these changes correctly 🫠

Going to be a full schedule this fall! Hopefully Zara and Vida get along alright when we do introductions and we can have an uncomplicated mare herd for the time being.

So over the last few weeks we have been watching a herd close to the subdivision, and noted them missing for 3 days.

The herd was known to us, all of them claimed stock or memorial horses.

On their re-appearance we made the tragic discovery that our wildie mare Zara's yearling c**t had a horrid wire related injury.

With help from Mr Stelkia himself, we were able to gather the herd and bring Zara and Oscar home to dr him.

We will see what the future holds but we have tended worse! As long as we can keep infection out we have a really solid shot at a full recovery.
Zara is likely in foal and due soon, so this may have more twists to come. 🫠
