At Second Chance Ranch, our 125 acres are filled with stories of resilience. From the gentle nickers of our horses to the happy greetings from W***y, our Nigerian Dwarf goat, every animal here has found a safe haven to heal, rest, and thrive.

We are incredibly grateful for the love our community shows us, and we often get asked, "How can we help keep the gates open and the feed buckets full?"

We get asked this a lot! The answer is simple: we never want a price tag to stand between someone and this experience.
By keeping our visits by donation, we ensure our doors stay open to everyone in our community, regardless of financial situation. Whether you can give a little, give a lot, or just bring your wonderful energy, you are welcome here.
We rely on the generosity of those who can contribute to help keep this space accessible for those who can't right now. It’s a beautiful ecosystem of community support!

Calling all local arborists and tree services! 🪵🚚
Second Chance Ranch is looking for wood chips—whether you have a single clean load or multiple truckloads to clear out!
We are always working on keeping our paddocks, pathways, and animal areas high, dry, and comfortable. Clean wood chips are a massive help to us, and we have plenty of space and easy access for big trucks to dump a load (or more!).
Note: Clean chips only, please (no black walnut).

The Great Bee-way Pit Stop! 🐝🛣️
Odessa was the place to be—well, for a minute! We had 156,000 tiny travelers pull into Second Chance Ranch for the ultimate "layover."
No hotels were booked, but there was plenty of buzzing around the rest stop. They’ve officially gassed up, stretched all six legs, and are officially back on the road heading east to New Brunswick! 🚛🍯
If you see a truck on the 401 that sounds like a giant hairdryer, give ‘em a wave—they’ve got a long flight ahead!

Hope everyone stayed dry today. One of our volunteers (Petra) suggested we design our own rubber boots that you can’t step out of in the mud. Well with the help of AI , yes I know some of you hate it, but it was fun to play with. Here’s our “official boot video”. Enjoy and turn up the volume!

The gates are opening wide on Saturday, August 8, 2026, for a full day of music, local talent, and ranch vibes. Whether you’ve been here before or it’s your first time "beyond the gate," come see what makes a Second Chance Saturday so special.
Festival Highlights:
• 🎸 Non-Stop Music: From 10 AM till 5 PM, we’ve got the bands tuned up and ready to play.
• 🛍️ Crafts & Vendors: Support local artisans and find something unique.

It’s always a good day when the community steps up for our animals, but today was extra special! 🐾
A huge thank you to the Kingston Community Credit Union for choosing Second Chance Ranch as the recipient of a generous $1,500 donation. These funds go directly toward the care and rehabilitation of our residents, and we couldn't be more grateful for the support.
(Side note: Getting to hold the "BIG" cheque was definitely the highlight of my day! 🏆). Just to return to the farm and find a lovely package left in the mail with dewormers in it! Thank you mystery person
