We weathered the ice storm pretty well but will have to check the forests once the ice melts and it’s safe to be back there. If anyone need a place to dump wood chips only, we could definitely use them. I have a question for everyone in Ontario. What are you doing with the $200 cheque from Doug Ford? I’ve been referring to it as “found ford funds” or F-F-F for short, sounds like a f-150 trying to start on a cold day!
Are you taking your significant other out for dinner at The Buckle? Are you just putting it in the bank? Paying down Christmas credit cards? Buying winter clothes for people in need? Buying that area rug you fell in love with on temu? Donating it to your favourite animal sanctuary? Saving it to pay tariffs? We would love to hear your creative uses for it. No answers are wrong, we are just curious.

Happy Halloween everyone. We will once again be accepting pumpkins both carved or not for our critters. Just a couple reminders, please no painted or bleached pumpkins, remove candles and toothpicks and if they are already slimy unfortunately we would not be able to accept them. Join us for an intermediate class this November. This class is perfect for those who have taken our Beginner class and have recently learned the basics of stained glass. You will get to create a beautiful snowflake (or star depending on what you'd like to call it :D) while learning new stained glass skills, tips, and tricks.

Please bring a water bottle with a lid, closed-toed indoor shoes and lunch/snacks.

We will provide Coffee, Tea, Water, and all materials needed to complete this beautiful piece.

A mare with a history, a gelding so bold,
Their stories wrapped tightly in whispers of old.
They find solace together, in the cool morning light,
As hearts intertwine, and wrongs turn to right.

But it’s not just the horses who find their new home,
For every creature that wanders, they’re never alone.
Chickens are clucking and goats full of cheer,
Each one a reminder that love conquers fear.

Rescue is magic, a tapestry spun,
Of kindness and courage, of battles well won.
From hoofbeats to pawprints, all share the same fate,
In this sanctuary where hope rejuvenates.

So here’s to Second Chance Ranch, a beacon so bright,
