Ziggy 🤍 | in Montreal

Meet Ziggy — a 1‑year‑old, long‑legged, big‑hearted pup who has been in foster care for 6 months and is still searching for his forever home. 💛

Ziggy is:

Ziggy recently transitioned to a new foster home and has been showing steady, brave progress. He bonded quickly with his foster mom and now enjoys spending time in the living room, following the resident dog, and learning the rhythms of the home.

A few things to know about Ziggy:

* He’s a sensitive boy who can be unsure with new people. With patience, space, and neutral body language, he warms up beautifully — and once he trusts you, he’s affectionate, snuggly, and incredibly sweet.

* He absolutely loves other dogs and gains a ton of confidence from having a calm canine role model. On walks, having another dog by his side helps him relax and understand what’s expected — he follows their lead, stays close, and walks with much more ease. Going out with a human only, especially if it’s someone new, can feel overwhelming for him at first, so a resident dog really helps him shine.

* He’s playful, goofy, energetic, and still very much a big puppy. He can get a bit too enthusiastic with smaller dogs, but he responds very well to redirection.

* He has a fantastic nose and loves to explore — scent games, enrichment, or nose work would be perfect activities for him.

* Household noises can still confuse him, but he’s improving every day, especially when he sees the resident dog stay calm and unbothered.

Ziggy is smart, loyal, funny, and full of love. He just needs a patient, dog‑savvy home that understands shy or nervous dogs and enjoys helping them continue to grow. Another confident dog in the home would be a big plus for him.

Ziggy can be adopted anywhere between Montreal and Ottawa.

Limbo💛 | in Toronto

Limbo is a sweet, gentle 10-month-old Anatolian Shepherd mix looking for his forever family. At around 90 lbs, he may be a big boy, but at heart he’s a calm, affectionate teddy bear. Limbo adores people - including kids - and gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes. He’s fully house trained, has beautiful manners, and is a wonderfully easy companion.

Limbo walks nicely on leash, enjoys relaxing outdoors watching the world go by, and is happiest with moderate, structured daily walks. He loves having another dog around and has been thriving with his foster sibling.

🩺 Medical Needs & Surgery Fund

Limbo has bilateral elbow dysplasia, likely linked to poor nutrition early in life. He is currently comfortable on a daily dose of meloxicam and is scheduled for corrective elbow surgery on January 27th at Caledon Mountain Veterinary Hospital to improve his long-term comfort and mobility.

This surgery — along with imaging, anesthesia, rehabilitation, and aftercare — is a significant expense for our rescue. If you’re able, we would be incredibly grateful for donations toward Limbo’s surgery and recovery, or even for sharing his fundraiser to help us reach more people.

Following surgery, Limbo will need:

Controlled, low-impact exercise
Ideally a home with minimal stairs
An adopter committed to joint-friendly routines and long-term care

Despite his size, Limbo is not a high-energy dog. ❤️ He enjoys calm walks, gentle play, and mental enrichment, and would do well in a city or suburban home where his activity can be thoughtfully managed. He is not suited for farm life or free roaming.

Limbo is an incredibly affectionate, patient puppy who simply wants to be close to his humans. He will be a deeply loyal companion to the family who can offer him the structure, love, and support he deserves.
