🐾 Hi, I’m Stephanie — the human behind Maine C**n Mayo! 🐾

I realized there are quite a few new faces here, so I thought it was time for a proper introduction.

I’m a Registered Nurse living on a small farm in the beautiful Kootenays of British Columbia with my husband, our dogs, sheep, chickens, bees, and of course… a house full of Maine C**ns. I’m also a Christ follower, and my faith influences how I approach both my nursing career and my cattery. I believe animals are a gift from God and that we are called to be good stewards of everything entrusted to us. Some people collect shoes. I collect giant cats. 😅

My journey with Maine C**ns started because I completely fell in love with their personalities. Yes, they’re stunning. Yes, they’re huge. But what really won me over was how social, affectionate, and downright hilarious they are. Maine C**ns seem to believe they are part cat, part dog, and part supervisor.

I started Maine C**n Mayo because I wanted to breed cats that were not only beautiful, but healthy, confident, and well-socialized. Every breeding cat in my program undergoes health testing, and my focus is always on temperament, health, and preserving the wonderful traits that make Maine C**ns so special.

My kittens are raised right in my home, surrounded by everyday life. They grow up hearing vacuum cleaners, meeting visitors, being cuddled constantly, and learning that humans are basically giant food dispensers.

As a nurse, health and welfare are at the center of everything I do. As a breeder, I believe my responsibility extends far beyond sending a kitten home. I’m here to support my families for the lifetime of their cat, whether they need advice, reassurance, or just someone to appreciate the 47th photo of their Maine C**n sleeping in a ridiculous position! 😹

When I’m not caring for patients or cats, you’ll usually find me gardening, chasing farm animals, drinking 0.0% beer, or convincing myself that adding “just one more cat” is a perfectly reasonable business decision.

MayoMC Hypnotize

While his brothers are busy collecting detentions and avoiding fights at parties, Hypnotize is the guy everyone actually wants to sit beside.

He’s the sweetheart of the group. Easygoing, affectionate, and completely comfortable being the center of attention for all the right reasons. If you’re handing out cuddles, kisses, or lap time, Hypnotize is first in line and happy to stay there as long as you’ll let him. He’s also the lightest coloured kitten in the bunch, and the silver will continue to show more as he grows.

In the 90’s high school that exists in my imagination, Hypnotize is the smooth-talking charmer who somehow gets along with everyone. Teachers love him. Parents love him. His classmates love him. Even the principal can’t stay mad at him.

He’s confident without being cocky, playful without being chaotic, and has a calm, gentle nature that makes him incredibly easy to handle. Whether he’s being scooped up for a cuddle or hanging out with his siblings, he seems genuinely happy just to be part of whatever is going on.

Like his namesake, there’s something about him that’s hard to resist. One look into those sweet, huge eyes and you’ll understand exactly how he got his name.

He’s not the troublemaker. He’s the heartbreaker.

If there’s trouble happening somewhere, Mistadobalina probably knows something about it.

The resident class clown of Litter H, he’s equal parts charm, confidence, and chaos. The kind of guy who somehow has three girlfriends at three different schools, drives a suspiciously loud hot rod, and spends enough time in the principal’s office that they practically have a chair with his name on it.

He’s always on the move, always investigating something, and always looking for his next adventure. Whether he’s climbing, wrestling, pouncing, or convincing his siblings to join whatever questionable idea he just came up with, life is never boring when Mistadobalina is around.

Of course, it helps that he’s ridiculously handsome. With his striking markings and dark lines around his eyes, he looks like he’s wearing eyeliner. And honestly? He might be.

Underneath all that swagger is a playful, affectionate boy who loves attention and knows exactly how to get it. He’s the kitten equivalent of a charming troublemaker who somehow talks his way out of every situation.

Some kittens follow the rules. Mistadobalina prefers to see how flexible they are.

Don’t let the serious expression fool you. All I Need inherited his father’s powerful look, but underneath that impressive exterior is a gentle, easygoing guy. He’s the kind of kitten who would rather avoid drama than be part of it.

Think of the big guy standing quietly at the back of the party, hoping nobody from the other school decides they need to challenge him just because he’s the biggest one in the room. He’s confident without being pushy, relaxed without being lazy, and happiest when everyone is getting along.

That doesn’t mean he’s a couch potato. He still loves a good wrestling match with his siblings and is always ready to join in when the toys come out. He’s simply the type who saves his energy for the things that matter.

A big boy with a soft heart and a laid-back personality, All I Need is exactly what his name suggests.
