Dear Clients and Pet Parents:
Your pets’ safety is my top priority. In light of potential forest fire risks, I have established an Emergency Evacuation Plan to ensure all dogs in my care are protected.
I ask all owners whose dogs come to daycare or are booked in to board, to please ensure your contact information and emergency contact names and numbers are up to date in my records. Please ensure your pet also has an ID tag on their collar.
In the event of a mandatory evacuation:
•. Pet parents will be notified immediately and if time permits, will be directed to pick up their pet at Berry Brook.
•. If pet parents are unable to pick up their pets, all dogs will be safely secured in crates and transported out of the location.
•. Depending on the fire’s location, we will meet at one of two designated rendezvous points:
1. Dog Park at the Grant Harvey Centre - Knowledge Park Drive.
2. South Side Walmart Parking Lot -Regent Mall
I will notify pet parents immediately of which location I will be headed to so you can reunite with your pet as soon as it is safe to do so.
Hopefully this plan will not need to be implemented but is ready if required. Thank you for helping me keep your pets safe in any situation.
