We are so saddened to hear the passing of one our Play Skool regulars, Wesson.

Wesson joined Play Skool when he was just a puppy and became one of our favourite labs. He was one of the sweetest, gentlest guys. He loved hanging out with his all his friends, keeping the staff entertained and treats, all the treats! He was a water dog and loved the summer and playing in the pool and catching the hose!

We will all miss you, bud.

❤️❤️❤️

💤 Pillar 5: Calm & Emotional Enrichment

Rest is just as important as play.

We intentionally build calm into your dog’s day:
🧘 Decompression time
🛏️ Structured rest
💛 Confidence-building support

This helps prevent overstimulation and creates more balanced behaviour.

Because a great daycare dog…knows how to relax too. ✨

With summer and warmer weather quickly approaching, it’s important to remember that dogs can get heat stroke too!

Hot pavement, heavy panting, slowing down on walks… dogs can overheat faster than people think.

If the ground feels too hot for your hand after 5 seconds, it’s too hot for paws.
Watch for signs of heat stress:
• Excessive panting
• Drooling
• Bright red gums
• Weakness or wobbling
• Vomiting or collapse

When temperatures climb, skip midday walks, bring water everywhere, and never leave a dog in a parked car, even for a minute.

A good rule: if you’re uncomfortable in the heat, your dog probably is too. Early mornings and evenings are the safest times for outdoor play. 🐾💧
