This weekend at Mastergroom Canada has been life changing..✨

Friday morning, Sassy and I competed in the First Timers class, and we placed 1st! With that we also won an incredible prize package including $1000, a beautiful rosette, and an all-inclusive trip to Groomania in Belgium September 2027.
Wow, I still can’t believe I’m saying that.
Thank you to Judges Romana Kania, Sue Zecco, and Colin Taylor. And thank you to the class sponsor Groomania, Kitty Ponnet & Kitty Dekeersgieter. 💛

On Saturday, Minnie and I received an Honourable Mention in Novice Asian Fusion, which I was really happy with! Especially considering I had a bit of a tool mishap and was once again missing my favourite pair of shears. Another huge thank you to Barb for coming to the rescue and letting me borrow hers yet again!
Thank you to Judges Isabella Doblas Jones, and Marcia Strong. 💛

The kindness and support at MasterGroom is unmatched. and Barb Prueckle literally saving me twice with a pair of shears after mine hit the floor, and then I unknowingly bought lefties. And my lovely friend Andrea for lending me her clippers and caddy to use for the weekend. She and Jolene and my cousin Ella were the best cheerleaders from ringside, and having so much support from people I look up to and my new friends I met, means more than I can put into words.

And one more big highlight, I was presented with the Scotty Mallette Kindness Award. 💛 I didn’t know Scotty personally, but from the stories I got to hear from the people who loved him, just what an incredible person he was. Receiving an award in his honour is something I’ll always treasure.

What a weekend.. My heart is so full.✨💛🐶

A little late posting, but a couple weekends ago Minnie and I made the trip to Saskatoon for the Get Your Groom On seminar and mock competition!

Minnie was an excellent little travel buddy for our overnight adventure and I was excited to learn what changes I can make to elevate her groom. One of my favourite things about this industry is that there’s always something new to learn, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to continue growing and improving my craft.💛✨

A huge thank you to the organizers and educators for such a great weekend. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow my skills and bring even more to my clients and their pets.

And of course, a big thank you to Minnie and her family for letting me borrow her for the weekend! 🐶💕
