The grooming of senior pets presents a unique set of challenges. As the owner of a 15-year-old dog, I can attest to the difficulties involved. Senior dogs often exhibit resistance to being touched, bathed, blow-dried, or having their nails trimmed. With nearly 20 years of experience as a groomer, I have developed a patient and cautious approach when handling these older animals. Unlike puppies, who may resist grooming due to their inexperience, senior dogs have distinct needs that must be respected. Many seniors experience soreness, dental issues, and decreased tolerance for grooming. It's essential to prioritize their comfort and stress-free experience over achieving a perfect haircut. By adopting this approach, we can ensure that these older dogs receive the care and handling they deserve. 🥰 🐾
