Father’s Day heads up!
I’ll be out of town this weekend, so the storefront will be closed Friday 5pm until Monday morning.

🇨🇦 Canada Day hours will be extended this year- festivities are just a couple blocks away at the Harbour and Rotary Pavilion, so if you come downtown for some shopping or snacking, Archie and I will be here! 🐾

A fun afternoon is planned with live music, food, animal demos, caricaturist, face painting, rock painting with Donna, kids zone with games, scavenger hunt and Beautiful Joe Park Tours scheduled for 1:15, 2:15 and 3:15. By donation event supporting Beautiful Joe Heritage Society.

🐶 Heads up!
Tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon the store will be closed at 2pm, but online orders placed before 1pm will ship. I will not be available after 2pm for appointments Tuesday.

🛍️ Thursday I will be available by appointment- call/text to let me know when you want to come by, and I’ll make sure Archie’s in his ‘office’ 🐾 and the door’s unlocked for you.
☀️Just have a few things to catch up on before we head into summer mode, so will be in and out through the day.

🐾 Please be vigilant with daily tick checks- keep your pets and family safe from the many diseases spread by ticks.
Check ears, under tails, paw pads…
Archie (my 🐩) went outside for a quick p*e one night, in town and under a deck on a gravel area (deck posts are a fave spot for him 🤷🏼‍♀️), and came in with one on his forehead. Fortunately the black was easy to spot on his white poodle p**f, but shows that any duration outside exposes them to ticks.

Dog-safe/people-safe spray is your best option for proactively preventing contact in the first place. I won’t highjack Ardiel’s post with any promotion, but will post soon about the spray we carry- certified by Health Canada as being 100% effective against ticks and mosquitoes.
