Karens Kitties Rescue It is our mission to ensure the adoption and placement of rescued cats and kittens in forever homes.

We are primarily focused on pregnant cats, moms with families and orphan kittens. We will however attempt to assist in other areas as we are able. This is a new endeavour as of May 2021, so please work with us as we grow.

Huge news for animal welfare in Ontario! The government has finalized a new regulation under the PAWS Act to ban medically unnecessary cosmetic procedures.

The Facts:
🗓️ Effective Date: January 1, 2027.
🐱 For Cats: Total ban on declawing.
🐶 For Dogs: Ban on ear cropping & devocalization.

Violators face strict penalties—up to $75k for individuals and $250k for repeat corporate offences. Thank you to everyone who took part in the public

Guess what all these kitties have in common??? They are headed over Barkhouse Pet later this morning. They are looking for their forever families and can hardly wait to see you.

These are Molly's little ones. And speaking of Molly, if you have ever dreamed of having a little 18month old cat that will follow you all over the place - Molly is your girl!!! She is the most unbelievably sweet little cat I have ever met. She will tap your arm for attention, come sit with you and just breathes love.

Little Murphy is the first of Molly's kittens to find his forever home!!

He has a special big brother Panther that absolutely adores him.
He also has two big dog brothers that will absolutely do anything for him.

But his new mom is doing a gradual introduction so he will see them a little later.

This is a video this morning of him playing in his own special playroom.

PS if you have been waiting for Molly and her kittens - well they will be in Eugenia tomorrow at Barkhouse Pet .
