Update on the Parvo Puppies: We wanted to provide our community with another important update about the parvo puppies in our care. As we shared in our last message, in addition to parvo, these puppies were also diagnosed with canine distemper, a devastating and unpredictable disease.
Over the last couple of weeks, three of the puppies’ neurological symptoms worsened and did not improve, even with extensive care from veterinary specialists and our team.
We are heartbroken to share that we had to say goodbye to the three puppies because their condition became very severe. Their loss has been felt deeply by our entire team, and we know you will share in our sadness.
The remaining puppies, Addie and Springer in photos, are currently stable and are being closely monitored by veterinary specialists and we remain committed to giving them every chance at recovery.
We know you have been following their journey closely, and we are incredibly grateful for your compassion, support, and belief in our work - especially through the hardest moments. Your generosity allows us to respond to emergencies like this with every resource possible. Please know that, thanks to you, these puppies have been surrounded with comfort, safety, and love every step of the way.
This tragic situation is an important reminder to all dog owners to protect their pets by ensuring they are up to date on their vaccines. Core vaccines protect young vulnerable puppies from parvovirus and canine distemper.
We will continue to keep you updated. Thank you for standing with us, for caring so deeply, and for helping us give vulnerable animals a fighting chance.
