B&T Pets Milestone: From 2024 Founding to Distribution in Nearly 50 Independent Retailers

Since our founding in 2024, B&T Pets has been dedicated to elevating pet nutrition through clean-label, ethically sourced, Canadian-made novel protein treats. Our brand originated from a personal commitment to honour Baron and Tessa, and to create nutrient-dense, functional treats for Bullet.

We are excited to highlight our rapid growth trajectory since April of this year. B&T Pets products are now stocked in nearly 50 independent pet specialty retailers across Canada.

Our business model is structured across three core revenue streams to support diverse industry needs:
B2B Wholesale: Delivering premium novel protein SKUs and functional supplements to independent pet retailers with strong sell-through support.
B2C: Serving health-conscious pet parents directly through our online store and retail partner locations.
Bulk & Private Label Solutions: Providing custom supply, bulk options, and contract manufacturing for brands seeking high-standard Canadian pet products.

Independent pet retailers are the backbone of the local pet industry, and we are grateful for the partnerships that have driven our expansion this year.

Big news for pet parents and our Great Lakes community!
We are proud to announce that B&T Pets has officially signed the 100% Great Lakes Fish Pledge, becoming the 51st organization to join this vital binational movement led by the Conference of Great Lakes St. Lawrence Governors & Premiers.
Traditionally, only about 40% of a fish (the fillets) is used for human consumption, leaving the remaining 60% underutilized. Our mission has always been centered on honoring the entire animal through responsible sourcing and minimal processing. Joining this pledge aligns naturally with our core values. By turning traditionally underutilized fish parts into nutrient-dense, single-ingredient treats—like our Walleye Twists, Walleye Clouds, and Just Smelt—we help eliminate waste while providing high-value novel proteins for your dogs and cats.

Seal Crisps and Protein Bites - BACK IN STOCK!!

How appropriate on this National Day of Truth and Reconciliation - as we source our seal from an Inuit/French Canadian company that was founded 5 years ago, and named in honour of the reconciliation that they hoped to accomplish. I have learned soo much from these Inuit friends, and I am honoured to be working with them.

THANK YOU!! To everyone who has supported us thus far - I celebrate you today!

This isnt just a stack of boxes set to be picked up on a Friday afternoon...

As I wheeled this cart to our shipping area it struck me just how much we have grown, even in the past 5 months... This shipment represents our FIRST PRIVATE LABEL order going out - which I'm incredibly proud of, and another repeat order from a store that took a chance on us early on, and their order size just keeps increasing!

It was not just how many boxes were going out, but that one box was heading East, and one was going West, and I was able to reflect on how many provinces we have touched so far.

Whenever I say something like, "oh we can't do that", or anything with doubt in it, I hear my Jaxon's and Lilly's little voices from when she was in Kindergarten adding on the Magical Yet to any statement about not being able to do something. It is that we cannot do it YET, but the magical yet reminds us that one day we will, and we can!

I have a few more magical yets to get to, but our growth, and the enthusiasm surrounding our brand, and more specifically why we do what we do, is seen and appreciated.

They say it's a good problem to have - we are getting increasingly busy - but with that it has been a challenge to keep up with some of our most popular products - which is a bad problem to have....

But we know how important our Pancreatic Enzyme Supplement is to soo many, so this is one that we are keeping a high stock level of - we are back in action with A LOT of this supplement ready to go!

Our seal products are also some of our most popular - and my favorite - and after being out of most of the meat treats for about a month - we are back in stock, and it is going quickly!!! Luckily we have 3 pallets of meat in frozen storage, so we are working our way back to having a high level of stock here as well.

We appreciate your patience as we balance the popularity of our products with the demand that just keeps on growing - all the way across Canada!

We've reached yet another milestone - we've expanded the B&T Pets pack!

With another member of the pack, we are not only able increase production (dramatically in fact - they are so highly efficient!!) but also this will allow us to have our retail store open much more reliably.

We will not be open routinely, and reliably:
Fridays 11am - 5pm
Saturdays 12pm - 4pm
At 480 Sovereign Rd. Unit #7 in London - just off the 401 at Veterans Memorial.

Whether you need a top-up on their favorite single ingredient treat, want to discuss specific nutrition questions, or just need some good old-fashioned ear scratches (for them, of course!), we're here for you.
