Mike & Lizzy's Cherry U-Pick Welcome to the best cherry u-pick around! Our orchard was originally planted in 1948! Hi cherry fans-welcome to the best u-pick cherries around!

When we are open we are here every day from 8am to 1pm during this extreme heat. We recommend coming early in the day for best quality cherries and picking experience. Children are encouraged but no pets please

We have everything you need-buckets,stools and ladders. We will pack your fruit in bags and, for larger quantities we have boxes available for purchase. There is a portable toilet on site

but please remember to bring water to drink and sunscreen! Our beautiful old orchard was originally planted in 1948 and many of those original trees are still producing lovely fruit! Yes we have a few yellow cherry trees ( Rainiers) but they will be picked for sale, sorry no u-pick on that variety. They are generally ready at the beginning of our season. We have Vans, Rainiers, Bings, Lamberts, Lapins and Skeenas...generally ripening in that order. Looking forward to seeing all our returning and new customers this year! Hey cherry fans, I know it's early but we are hopeful that we will have a great cherry season this summer after a better winter. Too early to call a start date but expect picking to start early July if this warm weather continues..keep checking back to my posts for updates

Well cherry fans, that is it for another year! We are picked clean. Huge thankyou to Valerie and Hector..awesome job! Thankyou to all the returning and new customers who waited in the heat to come and pick our beautiful cherries, I just wish there had been more of them and I am sorry for those of you who missed out on coming to visit. Let's hope Mother Nature co-operates and gives us a milder winter this year and we have more of those sweet treasures to pick next season.. but we were certainly grateful to have as many cherries as we had.. our gorgeous old trees did better than many other younger orchards! Looking forward to seeing you all again in July 2025

Hey cherry fans, we are back and picking every day from 8am to 1pm. We are now picking lovely big Lapins and sweet,juicy Lamberts. Sorry we are sold out of Rainiers. Lots of lovely fruit left. We will be picking every day until they are gone; likely around Friday next week (July 26th)
But it all depends on how busy we stay, I will update again after the weekend. I expect to start crunchy Skeenas on Monday! Still no admission fees and all U-Pick is still $4.50/lb Don't forget your water and sunscreen! See you in our beautiful shady orchard!

Well,that was a quick finish to the vans and bings!! I certainly had hoped there were more cherries than that!! Those two varieties are now sold out and we are closed for a couple of days until the Lapins are ready...there are a lot more Lapin trees so we will hopefully be picking them for 5 or 6 days. Hopefully we will be picking the Lamberts at the same time.They will both continue to be $4.50/lb.We will reopen Thursday at 8am and as long as it continues hot we will be closing at 1 pm so the cherries don't get mushy from the heat. Thursday we will also have some more Rainiers..as always, they are prepicked only ( no u-pick). They will be $12 box , limited quantities ,first come first served. Thankyou all who came today for your patience with lineups and limited fruit due to our cold winter weather...we are just happy that we have as many lovely cherries as we have!!! Looking forward to seeing people on Thursday..as always we recommend coming early, bringing lots of water and sunscreen

Hi cherry fans, sorry we have closed early, we have sold out all our van cherries.We will be closed for a couple of days to let the lapins ripen up. Probably reopening Wednesday or Thursday, please check back for updated posts

Yes cherry fans we are now open from 8am to 1 pm; no admission charges just pay for what you pick. Upick is the same as last year...$4.50/lb.
We are starting with vans and bings..both dark sweet cherries with rainiers coming soon. With this heat we will only be open from 8am to 1pm so come early to beat the heat and the crowds! Please remember your sunscreen and water and the fact that we are cash only!

Our Story

Hi cherry fans-welcome to the best u-pick cherries around!

Our orchard was originally planted in 1948 and some of those beautiful big old trees are still here producing delicious cherries. Tucked away in the mission area of Kelowna, our gorgeous lakeview orchard features 6 different varieties of sweet cherries, from the always popular Vans and Bings to juicy Lamberts, big Lapins, crunchy Skeenas and firm sweet yellow Rainiers.

Our season normally starts early July and lasts about 3 weeks from opening. At this point we are guessing we will start around July 10th to the 15th but weather can change that date so please check this site for updates. Once we are open we are here every day from 8am to 2pm unless it's raining. We recommend coming early in the day while it is the coolest for best quality cherries and picking experience. Children are encouraged but no pets please We have everything you need-buckets,stools and ladders. We will pack your fruit in bags and, for larger quantities we have boxes available for purchase. As we have such a short season, we are a cash only business so please plan ahead. Please remember to bring water to drink and sunscreen!

This year will be a little different due to Covid 19. In line with health regulations regarding groups, we will have to limit the number of people in the orchard to allow for social distancing and safety for staff and customers. Groups must be no larger than 6 people. Only customers planning to pick will be allowed in and we are requesting that customers “pick and go” to allow for more people to get the chance to enter. As per Provincial guidelines, no more than 50 people(including staff) are allowed in at a time. Please do not come if you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms, coughing or sneezing. We recommend that everyone wears a non-medical face mask and bring hand-sanitizer if possible. We will be sanitizing picking equipment and buckets between customers. We ask that customers respect each other and follow our rules so that it is an enjoyable and safe experience for everyone. Please check back after June 28th and we should be able to give a more accurate start date. Looking forward to seeing all our returning and new customers in 2020! See you in the orchard!
