🍫 Keep Halloween treats away from curious paws! Chocolate, xylitol (found in some sugar-free candies), and candy wrappers can all be dangerous for pets.

If your pet gets into something they shouldn't or experiences an emergency this weekend, our team is here to help!

Whether it’s separation anxiety, stressful vet visits, fireworks, nail trims, or loud noises, we have options to help your pet feel more relaxed and comfortable!

At Invermere Veterinary Hospital, we’ve been using our “Chill Protocol” for surgical and sedated procedures, as well as routine appointments for pets who need a little extra support. This veterinarian-prescribed medication protocol helps reduce fear and stress, making visits a more pawsitive experience!

📢 Temporary Lunch Closure Today!

We apologize for the short notice, but Invermere Veterinary Hospital will be closed today from 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM for staff training.

🚨 If you have an emergency, please call our regular clinic number 250-342-7007 and press 1 for emergency assistance.

All other calls and messages will be returned once our training is complete.

Better late than never… WELCOME, Dr. Annie Zehnder! 🩺🐾

Annie joined our team as a full-time veterinarian in July and, as expected, has naturally settled right in! We are so happy to officially introduce her to our IVH community.

For those wondering — yes, she is Dr. Mark’s niece! 💛 We are thrilled that Annie chose to come back home to Invermere and join our team, continuing a pretty special Zehnder connection here at IVH.

A few fun facts about Dr. Annie: when she’s embracing her homebody side, she loves knitting and baking, but she’s equally happy outside. You can often find her in the mountains hiking, camping, and enjoying everything our valley has to offer.

Annie grew up on the Zehnder farm, so animals have always been a big part of her life. Now, she gets to turn that lifelong love into caring for the furry family members in our community. 🐶🐱

We’re so excited to have you, Annie — officially, welcome to the IVH family! 💕
