UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!

🐾💚Newly Adoptable 🩵🐾

This sweet little female kitten is ready to find her new home! We lovingly refer to her as Screamy because she is always yelling at us for more attention.

🐱🐈‍⬛🐈🐾

She is roughly 6-7 weeks old. She was found out on the highway and needed some tender loving care. She is now feeling like a million bucks and would like a family to call her own.

If you think this sweet little thing would make a good addition to your home please let us know! Her adoption fee does include her spay when she is old enough!

What is Distemper?🧐

Distemper is a highly contagious virus that affects the respiratory system, the GI system and the nervous system.

🦠🩺💊🌡️🩻

It is passed through bodily contact and can be spread among wild canids, other animals and domesticated dogs.

🐕🦡🦨🦝🐺

Signs include, lethargy, lack of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, nasal discharge/ congestion, cough, respiratory distress and more severe signs include ataxia, muscle twitching and seizures and death.

😷🤒🤢🤕💀

Currently there is no treatment for distemper. Prevention is the key!

Distemper is one of the main viruses we vaccinate for. It is extremely important to keep your dogs and puppies up to date on their core vaccines.

💥⚠️There is currently a suspected outbreak in the Sunset House/ Sweat House area of the peace region.⚠️💥

‼️⚠️ Clinic Closure... Time for Renovations! ‼️⚠️

Just letting everyone know that High Prairie Animal Hospital will be closed for some behind the scenes renovations starting June 26th to July 5th.

These renovations will be improving the building and adding more creature comforts to your pet's stay when they have to come to the clinic.

We will REOPEN July 6th at 8:30am with regular hours.

Please ensure you have food stocked and med refills picked up prior to our closure as we will not be able to answer email/phones during this time.

💚🩵Hoping for Homes 💚🩵

We have two little babies still waiting for their forever homes.
Basil (Black/White Male) and Parsley (Brown Tabby Male) are still looking for their own furever family.

They are about 8 weeks old. They have been dewormed and had their vaccines started. Their adoption fee will include their neuter when they are old enough.

They would love to be indoor family members but they could be moved to outdoor farm friends when older/ big enough to take care of themselves.

Dorian Grey is a shy little (big) dude. He is a fully grown, neutered male, who is looking for a farm/barn/shop to call his own.

(He could potentially be persuaded to become a house cat but he does prefer the outdoor life.)

He is a long haired model, he has been shaved down to remove his mats but he is the most unique silver tabby. He won't be winning any beauty competitions, but he is sweet regardless.
