Hello everyone, Uncle Chris here —
This week alone between the Haliburton and Bancroft shops I have had a combined total of $800 worth of no-show/no-call appointments. This represents nearly a weeks wages for one of my extremely hardworking staff members.
When you book at appointment at Prettypaws space on our calendar is reserved for you and your pet — if you do not show up for your appointment I have to pay my staff for the duration of that time while they are earning no income from grooming. Because my girls of course paid no matter, what the cost of these appointments comes directly out of my pocket.
Mistakes happen, emergencies happen, and schedules change… lord knows I have missed appointments with other providers. I ask that if you know you are going to miss your appointment please call/text/email as soon as you are able to give us an opportunity to fill your appointment slot.
Barring extraordinary services we will continue to charge based on our no-show policy established in 2021. Our booking system sends three reminders in advance of your appointment and a reminder the morning of… active communication is of the utmost importance. I will continue to handle no-show fees on a case by case basis, and as always will never charge for appointments missed due to legitimate emergencies.
