Founded in 1982, the Sunpoke Hunting Retriever Club is a non-profit organization devoted to the development and exhibition of the inherent natural talents and trained skills of the various retriever dogs. We are active members of both the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) and the National Retriever Club of Canada, two organizations that are committed to the utmost quality standards in ethical dog breedi
ng and training. As a committed member our club has the honour of hosting CKC Working Certificate Tests, Hunt Tests, and Field Trials here in New Brunswick. The retriever has a centuries old tradition of hunting heritage both within Canada and around the globe; a tradition which we hope to support long into the future so that both our partnership with these skilled animals and Canada's rich hunting heritage will continue. Our Club endeavours to promote our commitment to high ethical standards in hunting practices and commitment to wetland conservation. In keeping with our above mentioned commitments, Sunpoke Hunting Retriever Club humbly requests your support in our endeavour to expand our organization in order to promote public knowledge of what is possible when retrieving dogs are joined with the proven training practices and committed dog owners.
