Discover Your Best Self with Naturally Equisavvy Solutions!

Hi! I’m Julia Smith, an Equine Canada Certified Western Coach, an internationally certified Horse Agility Trainer and North American IHA Liberty Champion with over 30 years of experience helping people just like you connect with horses in fun, exciting, and meaningful ways. Whether you’re into English riding, Western, Gymkhana, driving miniature horses, or just curious about what it’s like to hang out with these amazing animals, I’ve got something special for you. Oh, and fun fact: I currently own a mule, and let me tell you—they’re just as cool as horses!
At Naturally Equisavvy Solutions (NES), I offer unique and customized programs that are all about discovering who you really are—with the help of some awesome equine partners. Horses have this incredible ability to sense emotions. Sometimes they understand how we’re feeling better than we do! They can help us learn how to communicate, stay calm under pressure, and become more confident—whether you’re in the saddle or just hanging out on the ground.
Here’s what makes NES so cool:
• It’s not just about horses—it’s about YOU. Every session is tailored to what you need, whether that’s learning the basics of horse care, mastering groundwork, or building the confidence to tackle new challenges under saddle.
• Equines are your teachers. They’re super sensitive to energy and emotions, which makes them the perfect partners to help you understand yourself better.
• It’s fun and hands-on. Think of it as playing, but with purpose! Whether we’re working with a halter and rope, under saddle or no equipment at all, you’ll gain skills and build confidence step by step.
So, if you’re ready to unlock your potential, improve your skills, and connect with horses in a whole new way, NES is for you. Together, we’ll build a solid foundation of knowledge, learn to “feel,” and prepare you for whatever equestrian goals you want to chase.
Let’s make your equine journey as unique and awesome as you are!

My staff and students were amazing today. They took care of the horses and the barn and were exceptional.

We are lucky for the volunteers that all barns rely on. Their dedication to work so that they can have free access to riding and lessons shows character building and dedication.

I love their passion.

Protecting and nurturing equestrians of the present and future is a special honour.

I love you guys!

Stocky built 14h Appaloosa cross gelding. Super quiet, kind and easy to handle. Fifteen years old.

Clips, baths, good for farrier, vet, trailering. No dirt

This lovely pony is an easy keeper and is sound with no known health issues. He has just been vaccinated along with having his teeth done.

He can be ridden both english and western. Easy walk, trot, canter and has done poles and Cavalettis.

He would make the perfect trail or pleasure pony, and would be a super first pony for a child or adult rider.

He could also be suitable as a lesson pony

He has been doing occassional lessons in our program and has proven himself to be a lovely safe ride.

He is good in the herd and is currently kept blanketed outside with shelter. Adapts well to new surroundings
