Estevan Humane Society

Estevan Humane Society The Estevan Humane Society is a shelter that focuses on finding companion animals their forever homes. Comments will be removed and violators will be banned.

We are a registered charity dedicated to advocating for animals in South East Saskatchewan. POSTING AND COMMENTING POLICY:

Posts or comments that pertain to the following information/subject matter may be removed:

- Requesting information on animals not currently available for adoption: To protect the privacy of new owners or previous owners, the EHS will not release this information to the pu

blic.

- Lost, stolen or found animals: If an animal is lost, stolen or found, we encourage you post to the local lost pets pages. Because the EHS cannot verify reporting, rewards or information posted by third parties about lost, stolen or found animals, we will normally only post about found animals in our possession.

- Misinformation: If misinformation has been posted and the EHS has attempted to correct it, and this has been unsuccessful due to the reposting or continual repeated postings based on the misinformation – those posts may be deleted.

- Complaints: Specific complaints or rantings about the EHS, our programs, services and policies where the author demonstrates that he/she does not wish to resolve the matter off-line, will be deleted.

- Disrespecting other people: We want people to feel comfortable about posting their questions and answers on our page. Angry rants or abusive posts don't help achieve this and the moderators will delete them. Please don't post inflammatory messages designed to foster these kinds of arguments.

- Spam: Don't post the same message multiple times across the page. We understand with posting information on Facebook, it will not always remain at the top of the page. The information may seem relevant, urgent and important to the person who posted it, however duplicate posts to draw attention to an issue/topic that has already been posted about will be removed by the moderators.

- Personal Information: Complaints pertaining to owners of animals and their welfare that list specific information, addresses and/or names may also be deleted by the moderator. The Estevan Humane Society reserves the right to remove any comments that are inappropriate and in violation of our terms of use. We will remove any postings or comments with the following content:

- Publishing, posting, distributing or disseminating any defamatory, infringing, graphic, racist, malicious, misleading, obscene, indecent, misleading or unlawful material or information.

- Comments or postings that abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or otherwise violate the legal rights (such as the rights of privacy and publicity) of others. This includes bullying and personal attacks.

- Reports of cruelty detailing the name of the alleged, their address, and/or any other personal details.

- Requests for support or promotion of individuals or organizations that support animal cruelty, illegal activity or violence (such as unauthorized “rescue” of a privately owned animal).

- To protect your privacy, please refrain from posting any personal information about yourself or others.

- Information or advertising for personal or business gain.

- Fraudulent, misleading or deceptive messages.

- Solicitation or advertisement of any initiative, program or service that is not linked to the EHS.

- Files that contain software or other material protected by intellectual property laws (or by rights of privacy of publicity) unless you own or control the rights thereto or have received all necessary consents.

- Files that contain viruses, corrupted files, or any other similar software or programs that may damage the operation of another's computer. Please note that any concerns about EHS policies or decisions should be directed to the EHS via e-mail at [email protected] and will be deleted off this page if they are posted.

Mozza has FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) which often causes him to be overlooked, but that doesn’t make him any less deserving of love than any other cat. FIV affects a cat’s immune system, but many FIV+ cats live long, healthy lives, especially when kept indoors and given proper care. It can’t spread to humans or dogs and with a safe loving home cats like Mozza can thrive for years 💛🐾

Kittens, kittens, kittens! We currently have a total of 19 kittens in our care and we are in desperate need of litter. Specifically the Fresh 4 Life Paper Pellet Cat Litter. 🐾

These little ones are at such a crucial stage in their lives and are vulnerable to so many things already and we don’t need clay litter being one of them. Kittens are naturally curious and often try to taste the clay litter we normally use, which can be harmful if ingested. Paper pellet litter is much safer, as it’s harder for them to eat and far less dangerous if they do. 🐱🐈

Want to help our kitten season run smoother? Stop by PetValu and ask about donating a bag today! Every bag helps keep these babies safe.

🐾We’re Looking for Board Members! 🐾

Do you care deeply about animal welfare and want to help shape the future of our shelter? We’re currently seeking passionate, community-minded individuals to join our Board of Directors. Our board plays a vital role in overseeing the “big picture” of the shelter — including fundraising, community outreach, long-term planning, financial stewardship, and helping ensure we can continue providing safe care and second chances for animals in need.

You don’t need to be an expert in animal rescue to make a difference. We welcome people with experience or interest in:
• Fundraising & sponsorships
• Community engagement
• Business or nonprofit leadership
• Finance, marketing, or event planning
• Strategic planning and governance
• Simply having a passion for helping animals

Serving on the board is a meaningful way to give back to the community and directly impact the lives of vulnerable animals. If you’re interested in learning more or would like to apply, please send us a message or email [email protected].

Together, we can build a stronger future for the animals who depend on us. 🐶🐱💙

Say hello to our newest feline friends 🐾🩷

Want to know more about these cuties?
Call the shelter during our open hours at 306-634-3444 or come visit them in person!

Tori (Case #26-37)

Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Age: 1 year
S*x: Female
Activity Level: Medium
At the Shelter Since: April 2026
Gets Along with kids: Older preferred
Gets Along with dogs: Will adapt
Gets Along with cats: Not sure yet

Tori came to us as a scared stray, but once she warmed up her personality went from shy to bold very quickly. She is a sassy girl with a big heart and an even bigger personality! She's playful, cuddly and loves attention, but she is also independent enough to do her own thing when she feels like it. Tori is still having some mixed feelings about other cats, so at this time she may do best as the only kitty in the home. If you're looking for a cat with tons of attitude and charm, Tori is your purrfect match!
