Hello Sitka Family,

The holiday season is upon us and we are wanting to inform you of our holiday hours. Our last day open will be Thursday, December 19th and we will be back open Monday, December 30th. We will be closed the week of Christmas. We will not be replying to emails or messages.

Please get your food and medication orders in before Tuesday, December 17th in order to get them before our last day on the 19th.

A Celebration of Life for Nancy will be held at 2:00 p.m., November 23, 2024 at The HUB at Cowichan Station, 2375 Koksilah Rd, Duncan, BC.

In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to the Vancouver Island chapter of the national dog rescue non-profit organization Extraordinary Galgos & Podencos. Donations can be made by e-transfer to [email protected] and please include your name and mailing address in the message.

From everyone here at Sitka, we want to extend our gratitude to all the beautiful and kind words you expressed about Nancy. We are fortunate to have your support and love during a difficult time.

Our days at Sitka will be changing as we are now going to be closed Fridays. We will still be available Monday-Thursday, 8 am - 4 pm. We apologize if this change causes any inconveniences.

We would like to formerly introduce two new faces to the Sitka family, Dr. Dayna Chetek and Denise. Many of you probably have had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Dayna, as she has been with us for a couple years now. We are grateful to have Dr. Dayna regularly for 2 days a week now. Denise is a Registered Veterinary Technician who you will see both in the office and out on the road.

It is with heavy hearts that we have to post this obituary for our dear friend and leader, Dr Nancy Holling. Our team is more like a family and she is greatly missed and deeply grieved. We are continuing to provide house call visits and plan to keep her vision for compassionate in-home veterinary care going. Updates about the business will follow next week.

At this time, Sitka will not be responding to any comments or questions on Facebook. We understand that she has touched many lives and appreciate all of your support, kindness and condolences. We are sorry for your loss as well.
