When you walk in the clinic doors these are the smiling faces who are always happy to greet you and help your pet feel comfortable.

Veterinary Receptionists keep our clinic running smoothly, support our veterinarians, and provide comfort to our furry friends and their humans.

This week is Veterinary Receptionist Week and we want to express a special thank you to Celeste, Samantha and Victoria for all the hard work they do, it easy to say we couldn’t do it without!

The skill set of a Veterinary Receptionist is so vast- guiding emergency phone calls, scheduling appointments and surgeries, admitting patients into the hospital, filling prescriptions, assisting veterinarians during appointments, keeping patients files organized, comforting patients during exams and sample collection, providing emotional support for clients… to name a few.

Here at Kinsol Vet we think we might possibly have the best Veterinary Receptionists and I think your animals might agree!

Here are a few faces of pets that made us smile over the last couple of weeks!

Ruby and Pearl are the cutest little sisters! Pearl was ready to teach Ruby a lesson or two about how to get a treat!

Balto visited us for some lab work, he brought a friend along for some support!

Cute little Oliver was in for a COHAT (complete oral health assessment and treatment), his teeth are looking sparkly clean now!

Riley, who belongs to Office Manager Mary, came by to visit Dr. Lorimer to assess his arthritis. This cutie pie is 15 years old!!

Guinness is one of a kind… he’s the only cat we know who will fall asleep during a “lion cut”. A “lion cut” is a grooming style we give to cats when they have difficulty grooming themselves. He’s always a pleasure to spend time with!

Let’s meet another one of our incredible team members!

Catherine is a Registered Veterinary Technician and a proud mom to three amazing humans. Despite her busy life, she still finds time to help make Kinsol anexceptional clinic!

Recently, Catherine played an integral role in rescuing a sweet little kitten who was, quite literally, at death's door. Through her extraordinary care and dedication, she formed a special bond with this tiny fighter, now named Olive. Catherine decided to welcome Olive into her home, giving the little kitten the care and love she needed.

Hydrotherapy:

The underwater treadmill is an aid for improving muscle strength and balance, joint comfort and mobility, weight loss, and overall patient comfort and well-being. It can benefit patients who are having mobility problems as they age, patients who are overweight, and patients recovering from a variety of injuries and surgeries.

There are multiple benefits of the underwater treadmill. Low-impact exercise reduces stress on joints, the water gives buoyancy and increased resistance for muscle building, and the warm water helps reduce swelling and discomfort.

How to get started

Starting rehabilitation requires a referral from your regular veterinarian. If you think rehab is right for your pet, please discuss with your family veterinarian and if they agree, they can fill out the referral form on our website.

Initial Consult

Every rehab patient is booked for an initial consult for a detailed mobility exam and assessment. At this first appointment we will discuss rehabilitation options and develop an individualized treatment plan based on both patient and client needs and abilities.
