Dixie & Trixie were brought to us yesterday as surrenders. They are both WONDERFUL dogs and any home would be lucky to have them but we are hoping they can go to a home where they have room to run and perhaps even a job to do. They were raised on a farm and are very familiar with cattle and horses. Because of their breeds and herding instincts we are requesting a home with no smaller dogs. They get along great with bigger dogs and are extremely affectionate towards people. Please contact Wildrose Humane Society for more information on how to adopt.

🐕 Dixie & Trixie Are Looking for a New Beginning! 🐕

Dixie & Trixie are searching for a loving home after the heartbreaking loss of their owner. These sweet girls are gentle, affectionate companions who are ready to share their love with a new family. They can be a little shy when meeting someone new, but they settle in quickly. Within just a few minutes, they're rolling over for belly rubs and happily soaking up all the attention they can get! They were also wonderful with everyone they met at the clinic, including men, and their kind, easygoing personalities shine through any chance they get! 🥰

Each girl has her own unique charm. At 8 years old, Dixie is a calm, relaxed gal who loves staying close to her people, while Trixie (6 years old) is a little more active and has excellent recall. Both girls love treats, travel well in the car, and are happiest simply being with their people. 🐶💝

It is with heavy hearts that we share the unfortunate news of an extremely difficult goodbye today. To our coworker, our stealer of food, and winner of all the hearts, our best friend, Ian.

Ian was a friendly face that is familiar to most of you and your pets. He has been with us here at the clinic for nearly a decade, greeting you as you come in the door, comforting all of us and our pets, and of course accepting your love and payments as you leave. Ian was a fixture here at the clinic and he has been there for many moments that we will forever cherish.

Most perhaps don’t know that Ian had been diagnosed with diabetes for some time. This may be because he spent the better portion of a year regulated and living his best life. Recently, he had been faced with a few additional hidden battles, and although extremely difficult, we knew in this moment we needed to say farewell. We are so thankful for the additional 10 months since the start of his journey; he is an inspiration to us all.

We all know that if love was a superpower, our pets would live forever.

He will be deeply missed by many and we are grateful that you all loved him alongside us.
See you again someday, Ian ♥️
