To all of the new and future clients, I want to share the values that guide every grooming appointment. Your dog’s health, comfort, and well-being will always come before appearance.

I will never demat a dog if I believe the process would be painful, overly stressful, or unfair to them. While I always do my best to preserve as much coat as possible, there are times when shaving is the kindest and most humane option. Every decision I make is based on your dog’s individual needs, including the severity of the matting, their age, health, and how well they are tolerating the grooming process.

As dogs become seniors, I often transition them to what I call a Comfort Groom. This means I work with your dog, not against them. I complete whatever they are comfortable allowing and never force them through a groom if they are struggling physically or emotionally. Senior dogs deserve patience, compassion, and understanding, and their comfort will always take priority over achieving a perfect haircut.

If I find significant matting during your dog’s appointment, I will assess the situation and choose the safest, kindest option. My goal is always to keep your dog as comfortable and stress-free as possible while maintaining their health and quality of life.

I understand that every owner has different expectations, and I respect that. However, these are the standards I have chosen to uphold throughout my career. If my approach to grooming doesn’t align with your expectations or values, I completely understand if you decide another groomer is a better fit for your needs. My commitment will always be to advocate for what I believe is in the best interest of the dogs in my care.
