As time evolves… we all celebrate the day in many different ways . Our hospital will be closed this weekend so our hard working team can rest and re-set and enjoy some celebrations with friends and family

There’s a lot that goes on in a Veterinary Hospital, and our team works hard to ensure our clients and our patients, are well cared for!

As our valued clients , we know we may keep you on hold a bit longer when you call us 📞 and sometimes it may take a bit longer to recieve your food or medication order .

Often those delays are because an emergency took place earlier in the day , or perhaps the world stopped for a bit while we said goodbye to someones loved one ❤️🐾

We kindly ask for 72 hours to fill prescriptions, and when ordering food- please give us as much lead time as possible .
If we’re running into a long weekend - orders will always be placed earlier.

Please ask our team about setting up an auto-ship to ensure your food is always on time and you never run out !

Today (and every day!) we are celebrating our amazing RVT, Lisa .
Lisa has been with Valley Veterinary Services for 5 years and we are so lucky to have her ❤️🐾

From a young age Lisa knew she wanted to spend her life around animals. Her ability to strike a friendship with any animal she could was apparent when she brought home her first injured crow. She also found the need to help slugs or what she believed were ‘snails without shells’. She would search the family yard to find a ‘home’ that would fit. To pass a dog without petting it was torture and any stray cat that came by deserved a lunch. Large animals fascinated her - ‘Those poor cows! All they have to eat is dry grass’. This statement drew a laugh from all the adults and Lisa would later learn that a menu of dry grass was a good meal for a cow.

In 2005, she decided to enroll at Thompson Rivers University and graduated from the Animal Health Technology program in 2008. Along with her skills as a Registered Veterinary Technologist she brings many years of practice management. Lisa has a passion for analgesia and anesthesia and is Fear-Free certified. Lisa strives to ensure your pet’s visit is stress-free, comfortable, and that every interaction is positive.

Congratulations Lisa , on your 5 year work milestone ! 🥳🎉
