STATUS UPDATE

The Poirier crew have been safely evacuated to a friend’s place. Thank you everyone for all of your kindness during these horrible times. I hope all of the families and critters at risk have found safety as well.

Poirier Equine Veterinary Services appointments will be postponed until further notice. We greatly appreciate your patience! The phones are still up and running so feel free to call Hanna with any questions or concerns.

Our latest update regarding Covid-19:

We are asking that all clients call or email ([email protected]) before coming into the office to pick up supplies etc. If you are here to pick something up, please wait in your vehicle and call us at 604-857-7556. We will bring your supplies out to your vehicle and take your payment over the phone or by e-transfer.

We can also arrange to leave your items outside for pickup if you are coming after hours. If you have to come into the office please ensure you are not feeling sick - we will have hand sanitizer spray at the front desk that we are asking you use before and after visiting our premises.

If you have a scheduled vet appointment to please let us know if you are not feeling well so we can re-book for a later date.

We appreciate your patience during this time. We are trying to protect our staff so that we can continue to remain open, and in the event of a closure, to be able to provide essential emergency services to the horses of BC. If you have any questions or concerns please call the office at 604-857-7556.

As COVID-19 continues to spread throughout most of the world, our thoughts and deepest sympathies are extended to all who have been affected by the disease. In order to mitigate the risk of exposure during upcoming appointments for both horse doctors and clients, the AAEP Infectious Disease Committee reacted in the spirit of support for veterinary professionals and put together a few tips to deal with COVID-19 in daily practice (see graphic).
