For the safety and comfort of your birds, please bring a well-ventilated and properly sized container (like a dog crate or carrier with airflow) when picking up your ready-to-lay hens. 💨

🚗 Also, once they arrive, it’s best to come as soon as possible for pickup (they arrive at lunch time) — the sooner they’re settled in at your place, the better for them!

This Summer Heat is No Joke 🔥

When the temps rise, your animals feel it too — whether it’s your farm animals out in the pasture or your dog lounging in the backyard.

Keeping them hydrated and cool is one of the most important things you can do in this weather.

Quick tips:
💧 Always have lots of clean, cool water available
🌿 Give them shade and a break from the sun
⏰ Try to do chores and exercise early or late in the day
🧂 Electrolytes can help livestock handle the heat better

What to watch for:
• Heavy breathing or panting
• Tiredness or not acting like themselves
• Not drinking or eating like usual
• Wobbly or weak
• Dry nose or gums
• Sunken in eyes

If something seems off, don’t wait — cool them down and call your vet.
