With several of our current team members heading back to school, SV Equestrian International is looking to add a few new faces to our team in Milton, Ontario!

Are you looking to take your riding and horsemanship to the next level while gaining hands-on experience and travelling and competing with a high-performance eventing program?

Our working student program offers a comprehensive package worth thousands of dollars each month through:

• Housing accommodations
• Board for one horse
• Regular lessons & coaching
• Transportation to schooling & competitions

🌟 LEARN FROM TOP-LEVEL EXPERIENCE

Train alongside Olympian Stuart Black, one of Canada’s most successful event riders. Stuart has represented Great Britain, Canada & the USA and has earned victories and top placings at the highest levels of the sport, including CCI5*, World Championships, Pan American Games & the Olympic Games. He remains the highest-placed Canadian in Badminton Horse Trials history and brings decades of experience developing horses and riders through the levels.

You’ll also train and work alongside Victoria Knox, an EC Licensed Coach, FEI event rider and founder of SV Equestrian International. Victoria actively competes in eventing and has developed and competed horses through the FEI levels while coaching riders from grassroots through competition level.

Together, Stuart and Victoria offer working students the opportunity to learn not only riding and competition skills, but also horse development, producing young and competition horses, stable management, show preparation and the day-to-day operation of a professional eventing program.

🐴 WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

This is a hands-on working student position in a busy competition barn. Responsibilities include daily horse care, feeding, turnout, mucking, grooming, tack cleaning, general barn duties and helping prepare horses for training, travel and competitions.

We’re looking for people who are hardworking, reliable, self-motivated, comfortable handling horses and genuinely eager to learn and become part of the team.

Our program competes from grassroots through FEI levels and travels extensively throughout the season. This is an opportunity to further your riding, horsemanship and competition experience while immersing yourself in a professional eventing program.

Please note: This is a working student opportunity rather than a traditional salaried full-time barn position.

🏆 What a day for Team SV Equestrian International at Glenarden Horse Trials! 🏆

4 Division Champions. 8 horse-and-rider combinations. Countless personal bests.

What an incredible day for Team SV! We’re so proud of every rider and horse who represented our program this weekend. The results reflect the hard work, dedication, and teamwork that goes into every day at home.

🥇 4 Division Champions!

🏅 Amelie led the EV90 Junior division from start to finish, taking home the win!

🏅 Belle and SV Northern Eclipse dominated the EV90 Senior/Open, leading from start to finish with an outstanding 18.5 dressage score.

🏅 Juliette and SV Iroquois successfully completed their EV85 upgrade and won their division!

🏅 Breanne claimed the EV60 title, finishing on her impressive 25.8 dressage score.

✨ More Team Highlights

🥈 Isobel added another fantastic performance to her resume, finishing 2nd in the EV90.

🥉 Olivia and SV Grey Deception continued to build valuable experience together, winning the EV85 Junior dressage with a superb 24.2 before finishing 3rd overall.

🌟 Hailey and SV Northern Maple completed his first sanctioned EV85, finishing 4th. This partnership has such an exciting future ahead, and we can’t wait to watch them continue to develop.

👏 Alexea had another educational outing in the EV75 and continues to gain valuable experience. Although the show jumping phase didn’t quite go to plan, there were many positives throughout the day, and we’re proud of the progress this partnership is making.

Weekends like these are about so much more than ribbons. They’re about partnerships, confidence, sportsmanship, and watching both horses and riders continue to grow.

A huge congratulations to all of our riders, owners, families, and supporters. Thank you for trusting Team SV—we’re incredibly proud of every single one of you! 💙

✨ Weekend Recap – Glenarden Farms Horse Trials ✨

What a weekend for Team SV! 💙🐴

With 9️⃣ horse-and-rider combinations competing at Glenarden Farms Horse Trials, we’re incredibly proud of everything our team accomplished. From personal bests and successful upgrades to top placings and valuable experience, every rider had something to celebrate.

This weekend was extra special as Team SV was represented at two competitions. While part of our team was competing at Angelstone, our Glenarden crew came together to make the weekend a huge success. One of the things we’re most proud of is how smoothly the weekend ran. That was only possible because of the incredible teamwork from our riders, parents, coaches, grooms, and supporters. Eventing truly is a team sport, and we’re so grateful for the amazing people who make Team SV what it is.

⬆️ Amelie – 4th Place while successfully upgrading to the next level.
🎉 Hailey – 7th Place
⭐ Breanne – 7th Place after sitting 4th following dressage with a personal best score of 30.8.
💙 Liv – Produced her best rounds to date and is looking more than ready to move up.
🌟 Laura – Successfully upgraded to EV90. Now it’s time to keep chipping away at those dressage scores!
🎊 Juliette – Successfully completed her first sanctioned horse trial, a huge milestone and a fantastic stepping stone for the future.
💪 Belle – Had an educational outing with a horse that continues to improve every time they leave the start box. The future is looking bright for this partnership!

Congratulations to all of our riders! We couldn’t be prouder of the dedication, sportsmanship, and hard work everyone showed throughout the weekend.
