A new chapter for Addison Grooming Studio
I’m pleased to share that I am now grooming from The Beast Boutique in Calgary.

While the location is new, the standard of care remains the same. My work will continue to focus on thoughtful, individualized grooming with close attention to coat condition, balance, finish and the comfort of each dog on my table.

My specialties include:

• Breed-specific and specialty grooming
• Poodles and high-maintenance coat types
• Coat rehabilitation and corrective grooming
• Puppy introductions and first grooms
• Nervous and sensitive dogs
• One-on-one, detail-focused grooming

I believe exceptional grooming should be more than a haircut. It should support coat health, preserve proper structure and create an experience that is calm, intentional and tailored to the individual dog.

I’m looking forward to continuing to grow Addison Grooming Studio within The Beast Boutique and welcoming both existing clients and new faces into this next chapter.

Misha and Mochi two beautiful cats, and two very different reviews of the grooming process. 🤍

One looks wide-eyed and deeply concerned.
The other appears to be quietly reconsidering every life decision that led to the bath.

Behind the expressions, though, is an important reminder: professional cat grooming is not simply cosmetic.

For many cats, especially long-haired cats, regular grooming helps remove loose undercoat, reduce shedding, prevent matting, improve comfort, and support overall coat and skin health. Some cats maintain their coats beautifully on their own, while others benefit greatly from skilled, gentle assistance.

At Addison Grooming Studio, feline grooming is approached with patience, careful observation, and respect for the cat in front of me. Cats are handled according to their comfort, coat condition, and tolerance not rushed through a process that doesn’t suit them.

Sometimes the result is a smoother coat, less shedding, and a more comfortable cat.
Sometimes the result is also a slightly offended expression wrapped in a towel.

Either way, Misha and Mochi were very good for their appointment, and both left feeling cleaner, lighter, and better maintained.

My grooming approach is centred on coat health, structure, comfort, and a finish tailored to the individual dog. Appointments are available for:

Some dogs walk into the salon looking for a haircut.
Meadow walked in looking for a complete transformation.
Chinese Cresteds are one of the most unique breeds in the dog world. Their signature hairless body requires regular maintenance to keep the skin clean, healthy, and comfortable, while their furnishings, crest, socks, and tail need careful grooming to stay soft, balanced, and elegant.
For Meadow's groom, we focused on creating a clean silhouette, maintaining healthy skin, preserving her beautiful furnishings, and finishing everything with a polished topknot that perfectly suits her personality.
And of course, no grooming appointment is complete without a little supervision from a curious Golden Retriever making sure quality control standards are being met. 🐾

This sweet Bernadoodle was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We gave her a tidy-up that keeps her comfortable, manageable, and looking her best while still showing off that beautiful doodle charm. With breeds like Bernadoodles, regular grooming is an important part of coat maintenance, helping to prevent matting and keeping the skin and coat healthy year-round.

Maverick's Sticky Situation!

Maverick the Golden Retriever recently found himself in the middle of a pretty big adventure... and unfortunately, that adventure ended with him covered in tree sap from head to tail!

Sap can be incredibly challenging to remove from a coat. Left untreated, it can cause matting, trap dirt and debris, and make your dog's coat uncomfortable. Our goal was to remove as much sap as possible while preserving the integrity of Maverick's beautiful coat and salvaging as much healthy undercoat as we could.

After a lot of careful work, specialized products, patience, and some strategic coat maintenance, we were able to get Maverick cleaned up and comfortable again without taking more coat than necessary.

Emergency grooming situations aren't always glamorous, but helping dogs stay comfortable and healthy is what we're here for.

Thankfully, Maverick was an absolute superstar throughout the entire process and left looking and feeling much better!
