⚠️Trigger Warning ⚠️
💔 It's a very sad day today in our Aviary. Sadly, Zazu, our beautiful whiteface emerald male has passed away 💔
It was nothing dramatic, he was quite old, hatched in 2009, this boy lived a very full and Happy life. He was soooo loved by many! His 1st home and family was with Mitchell McGrath 🪽💙 Mitchell & I became friends through our love of cockatiels and breeding. Mitchell entrusted Zazu to me for a new home, family and to expand his bloodline, which I did 😏 very well in fact. Zazu has many beautiful, healthy offsprings all over Canada 🇨🇦 Even we have some of his sons, daughters and grandkids and Zazu's Legacy will live on forever in our hearts 💕 and homes of those who have been blessed with one of HIS babies ❤️🔥
His last week was bliss. I had found him on the bottom of the cage and he didn't seem to have the strength to climb back up to a perch so I set him up nice and comfy in my room in a big carrier and a heating pad under for heat. Physically there was nothing wrong with him. He was happy, eating, drinking, singing even. Every day I took him out and spent sone one on one time with him, cuddles, neck rubs, kisses 💋 and so many "I love you" & "Good boy Zazu".
Yesterday afternoon, about an hour after I had checked on him Ana went to give him some seeds and she rushed back down and said "Mommy, I think somethings wrong with Zazu. He looks like he's sleeping but I talked to him and he didn't move." And sure enough he was litterally placed as if he fell asleep sitting and just passed in his sleep. So peaceful.
I love you so much Zazu ❤️🔥🪽 I will never forget you my sweet old boy 🥺❤️🩹
❤️🔥🪽R.I.P my sweet Zazu 🪽❤️🔥
