Let's welcome Chili🌶️ to our Young Guns Board and Train. This 9 month pup is here with us to work on her leash skills, obedience, socialization and confidence building.
While all these things are important, the one thing that has brought her out of her shell is play.
She's a mix of working breeds and her fulfillment was lacking, which in turn has lead to challenging behaviors.
Once we unlocked her drive and gave her purpose her whole demeanor changed. She loves to work, when she's busy she's happy when she's happy she's less fearful of our resident dogs and her inappropriate jumping, anxious peeing has stopped. She is more comfortable seeing people while on walks and her focus is amazing (the beauty of working dogs).
I started with her the way I do with all dogs, leash walks, building relationship and structure, when she was comfortable with us we started teaching fetch and tug and the joy was palpable.
Every dog is different, every dogs needs are unique, and every dog deserves patience and opportunity.
I am so grateful to her owner for allowing me the opportunity to make a difference with this sweet little Chili Dawg 🌶️🐶

We have a busy week ahead and we need to beat the heat for our dogs in the pack walk program. This means earlier starts to the walks so we can finish before it's too hot.
Your dogs will be safe and cool while riding in our vehicles and have access to fresh water. Our vehicles will remain on during all drops offs and pick ups with the AC running☀️🔥👍
We finally have summer but let's not forget to be safe with our dogs and ensure they are hydrated and walked during cooler times of the day.

We are back to having our FREE monthly pack walks for our training clients.
I've been busy this summer dodging rain, boarding dogs and getting married 💍but now that we are heading back to September I wanted to start the walks back up.

🐶Sunday August 24 at 9:30 AM Bowness Park, picnic area #2 right in front of the little train is where we meet.
Please be on time as this session is 1 hour and starts promptly at 9:30.

We have expanded and now need to hire help!
We are looking to hire 2 Dog Walkers to help with our group pack walks.
This position is part time, Monday - Thursday.
Applicant must be able to handle multiple dogs, leash walk up to 5 dogs at a time, and be comfortable working with dogs off leash.
Applicant will be walking with the owner for many of the walks with up to 10 dogs.
Applicant would be responsible for picking up and walking up to 6 dogs at a time (typically only 4-5 max)
Typical work day is 9-12 (3 hours)
The dogs have all been trained utilizing the same training tools and methods. These dogs all know each other and get along well.
NW applicants pick up area is Bowness/Montgomery to Brentwood
SW applicants pick up area is Mardaloop, Mount Royal and Ramsay

What We Offer:
Paid for each dog walked, paid weekly.
Training on leash work
Treats and p**p bags supplied
Dogs are fully trained on leash and off
Small packs
Ability to shadow a trainer
Learn how to train dogs
Lots of furry friends!

Requirements:
Love for dogs of all sizes and breeds
Reliable and punctual
Able to walk for extended periods
Good communication skills
Own your own vehicle fit for transporting dogs
Strong time management skills
Professional and confident with all dog breeds

Let's give a paws up to Merle for finishing the puppy day training program 🎉🎉🐾🐾
This sweet pup has mastered her recall, leash walking and plays great with other dogs.
Merle took the E collar training option, which is an add on to any day training or boarding program, and the best part is you only pay for the collar the fee for the program stays the same 😊😊

Let's give a big paws up to Lucy for completing the puppy day training program🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏

Lucy's parents had the right idea in getting her enrolled in a program that guided her from first walks, to obedience, confidence building, recall, socialization and so much more.

We started her at 9 weeks and just finished this week and she is now 5 months.
Lucy has learned so much, is a wonderful pup who made loads of friends, and everyone who met her just fell in love with her calm and confident demeanor.

She and her family will carry this knowledge forward throughout her development, and once you're a client, you're always a client!

I will miss this little cutie, pretty soon not so little, but her parents will bring her to our FREE monthly pack walk classes to show off her skills and allow me some cuddle time 😉😉

Thanks for trusting me with her care, and keep up the great work!
